Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether exclusive breastfeeding can reduce stunting in toddlers. A systematic literature review is used as a research method. The findings of this study indicate that stunting in toddlers is significantly associated with exclusive breastfeeding. Stunting is a condition where a child's growth experiences stunting so that they become shorter than the average child of their age. In addition, stunting has a negative impact on brain development, resulting in reduced potential for quality human resources in the future. Meanwhile, exclusive breastfeeding protects against stunting because it contains nutrients that help children grow optimally and avoid the risk of chronic diseases that cause stunting. These nutrients also help prevent infection and increase endurance. One of the causes of stunting in toddlers is exclusive breastfeeding. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemberian ASI eksklusif dapat menurunkan stunting pada balita. Kajian literatur yang sistematis digunakan sebagai metode penelitian. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa stunting pada balita berhubungan secara signifikan dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Stunting adalah suatu kondisi dimana pertumbuhan anak mengalami stunting hingga menjadi lebih pendek dari rata-rata anak seusianya. Selain itu, stunting berdampak negatif terhadap perkembangan otak, mengakibatkan kurangnya potensi sumber daya manusia berkualitas di masa depan. ASI eksklusif melindungi dari stunting karena ASI mengandung nutrisi yang membantu anak tumbuh optimal dan terhindar dari risiko penyakit kronis penyebab stunting. Nutrisi tersebut juga membantu mencegah infeksi dan meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh. Salah satu faktor penyebab stunting pada balita adalah pemberian ASI eksklusif.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation and impact of the Nikah Balai Program organized by the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) of Bengkulu City. As a form of non-formal education-based social intervention, this program aims to empower women and protect children in underprivileged families by overcoming economic and administrative barriers to marriage that is valid according to religion and the state. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a focus on the 2024 implementation, which facilitated the marriage process and legal documents for seven underprivileged couples in Bengkulu City. This program applies the “Six in One” model, which includes financing the procession, KUA administration, dowry, population documents, and family education. Data was obtained through documentation, observation, and interviews with stakeholders and beneficiaries. The results of the study show that this program not only legalizes marriage status and updates population documents, including E-Simil certificates, but also increases family awareness, strengthens the position of women, and guarantees children's rights.
