Abstract

Physical Education (PE) and Health Education (HE) are integral components of a holistic educational experience that aims to promote students’ overall well-being. This research paper explores the combined impact of PE and HE in fostering lifelong fitness and wellness, with a focus on developing healthy habits, physical fitness, and mental well-being among youth. By analyzing existing research and current practices, the paper demonstrates how integrating Health Education into Physical Education programs can empower students to make informed health decisions, establish sustainable fitness routines, and develop resilience. The findings highlight the significant role of PE and HE in shaping positive health behaviors that extend beyond school years, preparing students for long-term wellness. Additionally, the paper discusses challenges in curriculum design, teacher training, and the inclusivity of PE programs. Ultimately, this research emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive approach to health education in schools to support students' holistic development and lifelong health.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of aerobic training intensity on physiological and skill-based performance outcomes in under-14 (U-14) cricket players. Thirty male U-14 cricket players were randomly assigned to three groups: high-intensity aerobic training (HIAT, n=10), moderate-intensity aerobic training (MIAT, n=10), and a control group (n=10) for an 8-week intervention. Physiological outcomes (VO2max, resting heart rate, and anaerobic threshold) and skill-based outcomes (batting accuracy, bowling speed, and fielding efficiency) were assessed pre- and post-intervention. HIAT significantly improved VO2max (p<0.01) and anaerobic threshold (p<0.05) compared to MIAT and control groups, while both HIAT and MIAT enhanced batting accuracy (p<0.05). Bowling speed and fielding efficiency showed no significant differences across groups. These findings suggest that high-intensity aerobic training is more effective for improving physiological capacities in U-14 cricket players, with limited but positive effects on specific skill-based outcomes.

Abstract

This study investigates training-induced adaptations in aerobic capacity, muscular endurance, and cricket-specific performance among adolescent athletes aged 13–18 years. A randomized controlled trial was conducted with 60 male and female cricketers assigned to three groups: aerobic training (AT), resistance training (RT), or combined training (CT) for 12 weeks. Aerobic capacity was assessed via VO2max testing, muscular endurance through push-up and plank tests, and cricket-specific performance via batting accuracy, bowling speed, and fielding agility drills. Results indicated significant improvements in VO2max (p < 0.01) for the AT group compared to RT, with CT showing moderate gains. Muscular endurance improved significantly in the RT and CT groups (p < 0.05), particularly in upper-body strength. Cricket-specific performance, notably bowling speed and fielding agility, showed the greatest improvement in the CT group (p < 0.01), suggesting synergistic effects of combined training. No significant differences were observed in batting accuracy across groups. These findings highlight the efficacy of tailored training protocols in enhancing physiological and sport-specific outcomes in adolescent cricketers. The results have implications for designing age-appropriate training programs to optimize performance and support talent development in cricket. Further research should explore long-term adaptations and include diverse populations.

Abstract

The adverse topic of women in sports stems from society's disregard to viewing women as persons. Women were, and in other parts of the world continue to be viewed as property of men and have no significant role in society. Being allowed into the Olympics was a step in the right direction for women across the world, but it was meager attempt equality. Women were still restricted by what events they were allowed to compete in, how they were trained and coached and even limited as to what they could wear. This article will evolve around the subject of female integration and participation in athletics in the Olympic Games, analyzing the initial difficulties they encountered, the role played by sports institutions as well as international federations and the Olympic International Committee.
