Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of positive habituation of congregational Zuhur prayer on improving the spiritual character of elementary school children. The research was carried out with a qualitative method through participatory observation at SDN Tugu Rejo 02, where the researcher participated in religious activities with students. The results of the study showed that regular congregational prayer activities had a positive impact on the development of students' disciplined attitudes, spiritual awareness, and polite behavior. This habituation is an effective means of forming religious values from an early age and encouraging the deep internalization of spiritual character. It can be concluded that the habituation of congregational worship is a relevant and applicable character formation strategy in the elementary school environment.

Abstract

Black mulberry (Morus nigra) is rich in flavonoids and anthocyanins with antioxidant and conditioning properties that can improve hair health. However, its incorporation into a stable 2-in-1 conditioner-shampoo formulation remains limited. This study aimed to formulate and evaluate the physical stability of conditioner-shampoo preparations containing M. nigra ethanolic extract at concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15% w/w using sodium lauryl ether sulphate (SLES) and cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) as surfactant bases. Each formulation was prepared by gradual mixing of aqueous and surfactant phases, followed by the addition of conditioning agents and active extract. Physical characteristics—including organoleptic properties, homogeneity, pH, foam height, and viscosity—were evaluated before and after six cycles of a stability test at 4 °C and 40 °C. All formulas exhibited homogeneous brown appearance with peppermint aroma and acceptable foam stability. The initial pH decreased with increasing extract concentration (F1 = 6.74; F2 = 5.95; F3 = 3.97) and slightly decreased after cycling (F1 = 6.21; F2 = 5.84; F3 = 3.61). Viscosity values ranged from 44,000 to 70,000 mPas and decreased after temperature cycling, whereas foam height remained within acceptable limits (≈ 1.5–2.3 cm). Among the tested formulations, F2 (10% extract) showed the most balanced properties in terms of pH, viscosity, and foam stability. In conclusion, a 10% M. nigra ethanolic extract conditioner-shampoo demonstrated good physical stability and potential as a natural antioxidant and conditioning hair-care product.

Abstract

This study analyzes pronunciation learning activities in the English class at SDN 060877 through direct classroom observation techniques. The research aims to understand how teachers organize pronunciation instruction, the strategies applied during learning sessions, and the level of student participation in practicing correct sounds, stress patterns, and intonation. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through on-site observations focusing on teaching procedures, interaction patterns, learning media, and students’ responses. The findings indicate that pronunciation learning is integrated into reading and speaking activities, where the teacher models sound, guides repetition drills, and provides corrective feedback. Students demonstrate varied levels of confidence, with some actively engaging in pronunciation tasks while others rely heavily on teacher prompts. Environmental factors, such as limited audio-media tools and large class size, affect the intensity and effectiveness of practice sessions. Despite these challenges, classroom interactions show that learners gradually improve their sound accuracy and rhythm through continuous modeling and peer practice. This study concludes that direct observation provides comprehensive insights into real classroom dynamics, revealing both the strengths and areas needing improvement in pronunciation teaching. Recommendations are offered to enhance instructional techniques, learning materials, and student engagement.
