Abstract

Character education has a fundamental role in shaping a moral and noble generation. One important aspect of character education is the internalization of religious character values which is the foundation for the development of other positive characters. This study aims to describe and explore how the internalization of religious character values is carried out through the habituation of religious activities at SMPIT Ar-Risalah Sukoharjo. By using descriptive qualitative research method, this study analyzes students' involvement in various religious activities classified based on the frequency of implementation, namely daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. The results show that the habituation of religious activities, such as morning dhikr, dhuha prayer, dhuhur prayer in congregation, and Islamic-based extracurricular activities, plays a role in shaping students' religious attitudes and behaviors.

Abstract

This study investigates the critical thinking skills of eighth-grade students in solving quadrilateral problems in mathematics. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with three students selected purposively to represent high, medium, and low levels of critical thinking. Data were collected through written tests and semi-structured interviews and analysed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data collection, reduction, display, and verification. The findings reveal significant variation in students’ critical thinking abilities. Students with high critical thinking skills demonstrated proficiency in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference, providing accurate solutions to problems and logical conclusions. Medium-level students performed well in interpretation, analysis, and evaluation but partially lacked in inference. Students with low critical thinking skills struggled across all indicators, resulting in incomplete or incorrect solutions to problems. These findings underscore the importance of integrating instructional strategies that promote all dimensions of critical thinking in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of the Ngudi Makmur farmer group in Seyegan, Sleman, Yogyakarta through digital marketing training and rice product diversification. The training materials covered digital marketing, branding, communication, and rice flour processing. The methods used included counseling, interactive training, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. The evaluation results showed an increase in the average score of participants from 0.57 in the pre-test to 0.89 in the post-test. The level of understanding of participants before the training was still low, especially in the aspects of communication (15 participants) and rice product diversification (10 participants). After the training, there was a significant and even increase in all aspects, namely digital marketing (33 participants), branding (35 participants), communication (29 participants), and rice product diversification (27 participants). Thus, this activity has proven effective in increasing the knowledge and skills of farmer groups, both in utilizing digital platforms for marketing and in developing innovative rice-based products. This program is expected to strengthen the competitiveness and economic independence of farmer groups in a sustainable manner.
