Abstract

The role of parents in their children's moral and academic education is key in the formation of a generation of character and achievement. Islamic values provide holistic guidance for parents to assist their children in instilling noble morals while achieving academic success. This article aims to describe the implementation of a workshop designed to increase parents' understanding and involvement in educating their children based on Islamic values. The activity involved interactive sessions, group discussions and practical simulations to provide participants with practical insights. The results of the workshop showed an increase in parents' awareness of the importance of their role in supporting their children's education, both morally and academically. In addition, participants were able to identify concrete strategies that can be applied in daily life to strengthen Islamic value-based education. Thus, this activity contributes to the empowerment of parents as the main partners in building a superior and noble generation.

Abstract

This study addresses the gap between curriculum expectations and classroom practices in learning multiplication and division in elementary school, where students often rely on memorization rather than conceptual understanding. The purpose of this study is to analyze the learning process using flashcard media in facilitating Grade 3 students’ conceptual understanding. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach conducted in a third-grade classroom with 28 students. Data were collected through classroom observations and semi-structured interviews, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that flashcards support conceptual understanding by encouraging students to use strategies such as repeated addition and equal sharing. Teacher scaffolding and repeated exposure help students correct errors and build connections between operations. The study concludes that flashcards are effective when integrated with structured instruction and guided questioning to support meaningful learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa dalam memecahkan masalah berbentuk soal model PISA. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) Universal Ananda. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi instrumen tes berupa soal model PISA dan wawancara. Soal yang dikembangkan berbentuk kontekstual terkait kehidupan nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui latihan soal model PISA dapat mendukung kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Siswa dapat menganalisis masalah, menghubungkan konsep matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, dan menggunakan pengalaman atau pengetahuan sebelumnya sehingga berhasil menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan. Melalui latihan soal model PISA juga mendorong kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa dan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika yang lebih kompleks. Dapat dinyatakan bahwa dengan memberikan latihan soal-soal model PISA dapat menjadi salah satu strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa SD.
