Abstract

Educational institutions such as universities also play a role in disaster mitigation efforts. Universities that have the Tridharma of Higher Education play a role in formulating problem solving related to problems faced by society, especially those related to natural disasters. This service focuses on understanding and active community participation in disaster mitigation strategies, including the socialization process and practical implementation. A series of activities have been carried out, namely socialization and implementation of disaster mitigation which was carried out at the village office. The socialization activities carried out during the implementation of this KKN have increased the knowledge of the Senggigi Village community regarding disaster mitigation and increased their preparedness to face them. The results show that the integration of socialization and implementation of disaster mitigation can significantly increase community preparedness for potential disasters in the region. The implications of these findings can be the basis for further policy and program improvements in building community resilience to disaster risk.

Abstract

There are two villages in North Lombok Regency, namely Rempek Village and Tanjung Village which have many clusters of hills which are usually connecting routes between districts, namely West Lombok Regency and North Lombok Regency. This study aims to determine the differences in land forms in two villages, namely Pusuk Tanjung Village and Rempek Village, North Lombok Regency. The data identified the geomorphology of the landform using remote sensing, digital elevation models (DEM), and interview observation data. It is known that the slope in the Rempek Village area has a slope that varies with lowland formations, highlands, and there are low hills, steep hills, and mountains. which has hilly areas with the potential for landslides caused by porous soil structures and Pusuk Tanjung Village with land formations. lowlands, mountains, low hills, and high hills and steep hills that have the potential for landslides which are influenced by human activities (anthropogenic) due to dredging of hills which are used as road access.

Abstract

Gili Petelu merupakan salah satu lokasi agregasi spesies laut seperti hiu karang sirip hitam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik habitat ikan hiu karang sirip hitam di perairan Gili Petelu, Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November-Desember 2023. Pengamatan hiu karang sirip hitam dilakukan dengan dua metode yakni UVC (underwater visual census) dan accidental sampling. Metode UVC (underwater visual census) dilakukan dengan cara berenang pada sisi timur pulau sejauh kurang lebih 170 m dengan lebar pengamatn 10 m ke kiri dan ke kanan. Penggunaan metode accidental sampling dilakukan untuk mengetahui atau mengamati kemunculan hiu karang sirip hitam yang berada di luar transek. Pengambilan data tutupan terumbu karang dilakukan dengan metode UPT (underwater photo transect) yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan software CPCe. Selain itu, kondisi perairan yang diamati selama penelitian yakni salinitas, suhu, pH, dan kecepatan arus. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 87 kali perjumpaan dengan spesies hiu Carcharhinus melanopterus pada area perairan tersebut. Pada area perjumpaan hiu karang sirip hitam tersebut diketahui terdapat lokasi yang didominasi oleh soft coral, pasir, patahan karang, dan area yang terdapat karang keras. Berdasarkan kondisi perairan, paling banyak individu hiu tersebut ditemukan pada kondisi perairan dengan pH 8, kecepatan arus 0,27-0,35 m/s, salinitas 30 dan pada kisaran suhu 28-29°C dengan total individu yang ditemukan sebanyak 24.
