Abstract

ABSTRACT Something that threatens and disrupts the lives of many people based on natural or non-natural factors is called a disaster. Disasters are very risky because they not only harm material things but also lives. To anticipate disasters, it is necessary to conduct a disaster risk review. Disaster risk is identified through hazard studies, namely any disaster that can cause danger. Regional vulnerability, namely regional conditions that determine the danger of disaster. Then capacity, namely the ability of available resources to face danger. Dadap village is one of the villages where disaster risk can be studied in order to become a disaster resilient village. To study all of this, methods are needed so that the risk of danger is handled appropriately. Efforts to form a task force are also a step in reducing disaster risk and preparing for disaster-resilient villages.

Abstract

Abstract

There are two villages in North Lombok Regency, namely Rempek Village and Tanjung Village which have many clusters of hills which are usually connecting routes between districts, namely West Lombok Regency and North Lombok Regency. This study aims to determine the differences in land forms in two villages, namely Pusuk Tanjung Village and Rempek Village, North Lombok Regency. The data identified the geomorphology of the landform using remote sensing, digital elevation models (DEM), and interview observation data. It is known that the slope in the Rempek Village area has a slope that varies with lowland formations, highlands, and there are low hills, steep hills, and mountains. which has hilly areas with the potential for landslides caused by porous soil structures and Pusuk Tanjung Village with land formations. lowlands, mountains, low hills, and high hills and steep hills that have the potential for landslides which are influenced by human activities (anthropogenic) due to dredging of hills which are used as road access.

Abstract

The fish processing and marketing group (poklahsar) in the Gili Matra Marine Protected Area has received intervention from the central government through Bappenas in the COREMAP-CTI III program. This intervention involves improving human resource capacity and providing grants for fish processing equipment. However, the limited duration of the program has resulted in suboptimal assistance in utilizing the donated fish processing equipment. Therefore, the involvement of universities in assisting the community is deemed necessary. This assistance activity aims to inform and educate the poklahsar about the use of fish processing equipment, particularly machines, to enhance production capacity in the Gili Matra Marine Protected Area. The assistance activities were carried out in July 2023 at the respective production locations of each poklahsar. The educational method for adults in this assistance activity involves lectures and hands-on practical training. The outcome of this assistance activity is an increased understanding and knowledge among poklahsar in the Gili Matra Marine Protected Area regarding the functions and uses of various machine-based fish processing equipment. Additionally, it was identified that some obstacles hinder optimizing machine-based equipment utilization, including a lack of understanding in using such equipment and limited market demand for processed fish products. In conclusion, the poklahsar have diverse views on using machine-based equipment, enabling them to optimize the use of such equipment despite the limited demand for processed fish products.
