Abstract

Excessive workload has become a critical factor affecting mental health across various occupational sectors, contributing to increased stress, anxiety, burnout, and diminished job satisfaction. This study examines the systemic factors influencing workload-induced mental health issues, including labor laws, workplace culture, and economic conditions. A systematic review of existing literature was conducted using databases such as Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar, focusing on peer-reviewed studies from the past decade. The findings indicate that healthcare professionals, educators, and emergency responders are among the most affected groups, with high workloads leading to severe psychological distress. Furthermore, workplace culture and economic instability exacerbate these effects, making mental health interventions a pressing concern. The study emphasizes the importance of regulatory frameworks, supportive workplace policies, and evidence-based interventions to mitigate workload-related mental health issues. Strategies such as flexible work arrangements, peer support networks, resilience training, and mental health education programs have demonstrated efficacy in reducing burnout and improving employee well-being. The findings highlight the need for further research on long-term workload effects, industry-specific interventions, and cross-cultural analyses to develop tailored policy solutions. Addressing workload-induced mental health problems requires a collaborative effort from policymakers, employers, and researchers to implement sustainable and effective interventions. This study provides valuable insights for designing healthier workplace environments that enhance productivity while safeguarding employees’ mental well-being.

Abstract

Bullying among adolescents remains a critical public health and educational concern, impacting mental well-being, academic performance, and social development. This study explores the multifaceted nature of bullying, focusing on its psychological, social, and economic determinants, as well as the effectiveness of intervention strategies. A systematic review of literature from academic databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and PsycINFO was conducted, selecting peer-reviewed studies published in the last decade. The results highlight the protective role of family support and positive school climates in mitigating bullying-related distress. Economic disparities significantly influence bullying prevalence, with students from lower-income backgrounds facing heightened risks. Effective intervention strategies include restorative justice practices, social-emotional learning programs, and anonymous reporting platforms. Cross-national comparisons reveal that community-based interventions, such as Finland’s KiVa program, yield more sustainable outcomes by fostering an inclusive school culture. The discussion underscores the need for comprehensive policies that integrate school-wide prevention programs, parental involvement, and mental health support. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies to assess the long-term effects of bullying and the scalability of different intervention models. A multi-stakeholder approach involving educators, policymakers, and parents is essential to creating a safer educational environment. Addressing bullying through targeted interventions and policy reforms will contribute to improved student well-being and academic success.

Abstract

English learning is a vital skill in the era of globalization. However, many elementary school students struggle with English and show limited interest due to monotonous and less engaging teaching methods. This often leads to low confidence in using the language actively. To address this issue, the English Learning Program (BBI) was implemented to improve the English proficiency of 4th grade students at elementary school. The program introduced interactive and enjoyable teaching strategies through a group-based approach, including language games, conversation practices, songs to introduce parts of the body, and basic grammar lessons. These activities aimed to create a positive learning environment that encourages active participation and boosts student confidence. The results showed increased enthusiasm, participation, and comprehension among students. Many students demonstrated improved ability and willingness to use English in daily conversation. This program highlights the importance of innovative and interactive methods in fostering early interest and language proficiency. It suggests that well-designed, enjoyable approaches can significantly enhance English learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Background: The Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) is not yet widely embraced by small and medium enterprises (UMKM) in Kelurahan Made, Surabaya. Many business owners are unaware of QRIS’s benefits and methods of use, underscoring the need for effective education to facilitate their transition to a secure digital payment system. Objective: This initiative seeks to promote digital payment standardization among UMKM in Kelurahan Made by introducing QRIS and providing hands-on practice. Additionally, we assist UMKM with the QRIS registration process, empowering them to confidently adopt non-cash payment methods. Method: The program includes engaging socialization, informative counseling, and practical training involving six UMKM, along with personalized support for QRIS registration. Results: We are pleased to report an 85% attendance rate among our targeted participants, all of whom successfully began using QRIS in their transactions. Conclusion: Our educational and coordinated efforts in promoting QRIS have effectively enhanced financial literacy and improved transaction efficiency among UMKM. As QRIS adoption continues to grow, the digital transformation of the payment ecosystem in the kelurahan becomes increasingly attainable.
