Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dan informasi penyebab kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal UN matematika jurusan IPS di SMA Negeri 5 Palu. Peneliti melakukan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) terdapat 12 jenis kesalahan siswa yang ditemukan dalam menyelesaikan soal UN Matematika SMA jurusan IPS di SMA Negeri 5 Palu tahun pelajaran 2014/2015, yaitu kesalahan konsep, kesalahan interpretasi bahasa, kesalahan berhitung, kesalahan prosedur, kesalahan penafsiran, kesalahan interpretasi bahasa dan konsep, kesalahan konsep dan berhitung, kesalahan konsep dan prosedur, kesalahan interpretasi bahasa dan berhitung, kesalahan berhitung dan prosedur, kesalahan berhitung dan penafsiran serta kesalahan konsep dan penafsiran. Namun, kesalahan berhitung merupakan kesalahan yang paling banyak dilakukan subjek. 2) penyebab kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh subjek adalah tidak memahami konsep ingkaran suatu pernyataan berkuantor, tidak mampu membedakan pernyataan yang setara dan pernyataan negasi subjek, lupa sifat-sifat logaritma, salah menggunakan rumus, salah memahami konsep turunan fungsi berpangkat, kurangnya pemahaman tentang kombinasi dan permutasi, salah memahami konsep modus, mean, simpangan rata-rata untuk data berkelompok, tidak memahami maksud dari soal dan kurangnya keterampilan berhitung subjek. Kata kunci: kesalahan, ujian nasional, matematika, SMA, IPS. Abstract: This study aimed to obtain a description of the fault of the student and the student information on the cause mistakes in solving math majors national test social science in SMAN 5 Palu. Researchers conducted a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected by means of documentation and interviews. The results of this study indicate that: 1) there are 12 types of errors found in the students who finish high school mathematics to the national test department of social science in SMAN 5 Palu academic year 2014/2015, namely misconceptions, misinterpretations of language, arithmetic errors, procedural errors, errors of interpretation, misinterpretation the language and concept, errors concepts and arithmetic, misconceptions and procedures, misinterpretation the language and numeracy, errors arithmetic and procedures, numeracy and interpretation errors as well as errors of concepts and interpretations. However, arithmetic error is the most common mistake made the subject. 2) the cause of the error committed by the subject is not understanding the concept ingkaran a quantifier, unable to distinguish a statement similar and statements negation of the subject, forget the properties of logarithms, one using formulas, one understands the concept of the derivative function rank, lack of understanding of the combination and permutations, one understands the concept of mode, mean, average deviation for the data group, did not understand the intent of the matter and the lack of numeracy skills of the subject. Abstract

This research is conducted to analyze the influence of Growth Opportunity towards Hedging Decisions with Earnings Quality as the moderating variable in financial sector companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to 2023, as the trend in hedging activities in Indonesia showed a contrasting belief to the Prospect Theory, in which the Indonesian companies hedged more when they might not be doing well in general during times of crisis. The independent variable used in this study is Growth Opportunity alongside 4 control variables. The dependent variable is Hedging Decisions and the moderator variable is Earnings Quality. The research used secondary data from financial sector companies listed in the IDX from 2019 to 2023 and the data source are S&P Capital IQ and Pro. By using the purposive sampling, 90 companies were eligible. The method Logistic Regression analysis is used and processed through SPSS version 25. The outcomes of the research indicate that both Growth Opportunity and Earnings-Quality-moderated Growth Opportunity have insignificant effect towards Hedging Decisions, implying that neither Growth Opportunity nor Earnings-Quality-moderated Growth Opportunity is a consideration for the accounting and management team of the Indonesian financial companies in deciding to carry out hedging activities during 2019-2023.
