Abstract

Dalam penulisan ini menganalisis pemikiran Quraish Shihab tentang Pendidikan Islam dimana dalam pemikiran Quraish Shihab yang bercorak religius rasional. religius rasional merupakan aliran filsafat yang memadukan sudut pandang keagamaan dengan sudut pandang kefilsafatan. kemudian daripa itu, pemikiran Quraish Shihab sangatlah relevan dengan pendidikan Islam saat ini, terbukti dengan menjamurnya satuan pendidikan yang bercorak ke-Islaman.

Abstract

This article analyses the Sociology of Education that refers to the application of sociological knowledge, thinking techniques, and data collection in educational investigations. The sociology of education studies the process of education as social interaction, school as a social group, and as a social institution. Sociological analysis models of education include 4 types of analysis, (1) analysis of functional structural models with characters Emile Durkeim and Talcott Parsons, (2) analysis of conflict models with characters S. Bowles and H. Gintis and Louis Althuser, (3) analysis the critical sociology model with its characters Paulo Freire and Ivan Illich and (4) Analysis of the English and US versions of Micro-level Education. Abstract

Maraknya aksi anarkis dan terorisme belakangan menjadi problematika sentral dalam kehidupan berbangsa di Indonesia. Hal ini terjadi karena semakin kaburnya kesadaran masyarakat tentang pluralitas multi-etnik dan multi-agama yang tumbuh dalam masyarakat yang berbhineka. Salah satu solusinya adalah dengan mengenalkan pendidikan inklusif (terbuka) dimulai sejak dibangku sekolah. Konsep pendidikan inklusif dalam ajaran agama Islam termaktub dalam kitab suci Al-Qur’an. Didalamnya, dijelaskan bahwa manusia didunia ini diciptakan dengan multi-etnis untuk saling mengenal dan saling menghormati.Dengan metode library research penulis melakukan analisis terhadap konsep pendidikan inklusif dalam QS. Al-Hujurat ayat 10-13 yang dalam hal ini akan penulis jadikan landasan sebagai solusi indoktrinasi pendidikan Islam di Sekolah. Pendidikan inklusif merupakan usaha sadar mendewasakan manusia melalui upaya yang terstruktur dan berkesinambungan dengan sistem pembelajaran yang terbuka, dinamis dan rasional. Untuk mencapai suatu kedamaian dan kesejahteraan dalam bermasyarakat perlu adanya sikap saling terbuka dimulai dengan adanya kesediaan untuk saling mengenal antara satu sama lain dan menghargai perbedaan dengan tidak melakukan diskriminasi terhadap golongan tertentu. Hal tersebut akan terlaksana dengan mengenalkan pendidikan Inklusif yang terbuka dimulai dari bangku sekolah.

Abstract

Religious-Rational educational thought is a philosophical school that combines religious perspectives with philosophical perspectives in describing education. One contemporary figure in this genre is Muhammad Quraish Shihab. According to him, the goal of Islamic education is to achieve the existence of Allah, that is to foster humanity to carry out its function as a servant of Allah and His Khalifah on this earth. With the library research method, the author analyzes the Islamic Education concept of Muhammad Quraish Shihab's perspective which is religious-rational and relevant to the modern world. As is known, today Islamic education has undergone a phase of significant change. These changes are nothing but the demands of a dynamic modern world with the times. Furthermore, Quraish Shihab emphasized that the development of Islamic education must be in line with developments in technology and information as demanded by the modern world.

Abstract

Education as a sub-culture of society should be able to contribute to building harmony above differences, especially religious differences. One of the efforts that can be taken in this regard is the practice of multicultural school management. The existence of multicultural school management shows that schools officially recognize diversity through policies to organize and accept this diversity. Through the implementation of multicultural school management at SMK Bhakti Karya Parigi Pangandaran, West Java, it is hoped that education will be able to contribute to developing religious inclusiveness in social life. The method used in this research was field research using a qualitative approach. The main subjects in this study were the principal and manager of SMK Bhakti Karya Parigi Pangandaran, West Java. In this study, the material object was SMK Bakti Karya Parigi, and the formal object was multicultural school management in developing inclusive religious culture. Data collection techniques used participatory observation, interviews, documentation, and data triangulation. Meanwhile, the data analysis employed the Spradley model data analysis technique with domain, taxonomy, componential, cultural, and triangulation analysis. The results revealed that the implementation of multicultural school management at SMK Bakti Karya has included all management functions, from planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising schools and one of the results of the multicultural school management practice is the development of religious inclusiveness culture in the school environment and the community. It can be proven by the school's ability to accommodate differences, especially religious differences, in the school environment to reach school goals together.

Abstract

Arabic language learning is directed toward the mastery of language skills, including listening (al-istimā’), speaking (al-kalām), reading (al-qirā’ah), and writing (al-kitābah). This implies that Arabic instruction is expected to enable learners to communicate both receptively and productively. At the Islamic Program of MA An-Nawawi Berjan Purworejo, an integrative Arabic curriculum has been implemented since the program’s inception as part of its traditional pesantren-based educational system. This approach blends traditional and modern elements, including madrasah dīniyyah instruction and immersive Arabic language practices in the dormitory environment. This study aims to analyze the implications of the integrative curriculum on students’ skills. A qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach was used, involving observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. The results reveal that the integrative curriculum fosters a contextual and comprehensive learning environment, enhances active student participation, strengthens grammatical understanding, and builds students’ confidence in using Arabic. The findings are analyzed through the psychological lenses of behaviorism and constructivism.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the general description of the leadership style of the head of MI AL MA'ARIF KEDUNGREJA, teacher performance, and its influence on the democratic leadership style of Madrasah leaders on the performance of MI AL MA'ARIF teachers. This survey is a qualitative survey with a democratic approach. This research aims to investigate the influence of the principal's leadership style on teacher performance in senior high schools. Qualitative research methods with case studies were carried out on one teacher and one school principal. The research results show that transformational and transactional leadership styles have a significant impact on teacher motivation, creativity and performance. An effective leadership style can improve the quality of education and improve the work environment. This research provides recommendations for school principals to develop leadership styles that suit the needs of teachers and students.

Abstract

Islamic education is oriented towards the formation of a perfect human being, a person who is balanced in spiritual, intellectual, and moral aspects. In the process of achieving this goal, the environment plays a very strategic role. The Islamic educational environment is not only limited to formal institutions, but also includes the family environment, society, and even the natural environment as a learning medium. This study aims to identify the role and contribution of each type of educational environment in supporting the formation of student character based on Islamic values. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, reviewing various classical and contemporary literature related to Islamic education and environmental theory. The results of the study indicate that the family environment serves as the initial foundation in instilling faith and morals, the school environment or Islamic boarding school as a formal education system plays a role in intellectual development and spiritual skills, the community environment functions as a socio-religious reinforcement, while the natural environment encourages students to engage in contemplation and tadabbur as part of strengthening spirituality. The synergy between these four environments is crucial to forming students who are not only academically intelligent, but also faithful, pious, and have noble character. Therefore, the development of an ideal Islamic education system must consider holistic integration between environments. Keyword: Islamic Education, Educational Environment, Character, Students.

Abstract

The involvement of women in acts of intolerance and radicalism disturbs religious harmony in Indonesia. The phenomenon of the Surabaya bombing involving women as the main perpetrators of acts of terrorism proves that acts of terrorism, which initially had a patriarchal masculine face, later made use of women with their feminine approaches. In such anxiety arises the Srikandi Lintas Iman Community in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This community is an alternative for women in sowing the values ​​of diversity, tolerance, and peace among the people. For this reason, it is important to research this community. This study aims to determine the construction and implementation of inclusive religious education built by the interfaith heroine community and the role of women in the development of inclusive religious education. This type of research is qualitative research. The research approach used is the educational sociology approach. The results of the study show that the construction of inclusive religious education in the Srikandi Lintas Iman Community in Yogyakarta stands on the principles and implementation of humanism and democratic values ​​, which include pluralism, justice, equality, doing good to others, and honesty which is manifested in community activities. The implementation of inclusive religious education is classified into several activity groups; religious studies, interfaith dialogue, and interfaith cooperation while the role of women in the development of inclusive religious education in the Srikandi Lintas Iman Community includes the domestic role of the family and the transition role of social and religious communities.

Abstract

Mastery of the Arabic language is a fundamental competence for students in Islamic educational institutions. However, at Madrasah Al-Yusufiyyah Al-Islamiyyah Chariyatham Suksa Foundation School in Thailand, some students still experience limitations in understanding texts and communicating in Arabic. This condition necessitates the implementation of more appropriate and contextual teaching methods. This study aims to analyse the Arabic language-teaching methods used in the school. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with Arabic language teachers, and the analysis of documents and learning materials. The findings indicate that the school employs an eclectic approach that combines the direct method, communicative approach, and grammar-translation method. This combination is suitable for students whose mother tongue is not Arabic. Its implementation has gradually improved students' abilities in text comprehension and communication. Thus, the eclectic method is effective and relevant for Arabic language instruction in multilingual contexts such as Thailand.
