Abstract

The background of the research problem is that there are still students who still do not have characters such as courtesy to teachers. The purpose of this study is to analyze the PAI teacher's strategy in the process of internalizing character values to students.  The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Research data were collected through interviews and observation techniques. Interviews were conducted with the head of madrasah, deputy head of curriculum, teachers, and students. Meanwhile, observations were made of student activities with teachers, both in class and outside the classroom.  Data validity was tested using source and method triangulation. Data analysis techniques were carried out with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that PAI teachers applied strategies of student self-empowerment (self-efficacy), habituation (conditioning), and the realization of a caring environment (caring community). While the key to success lies in self-exemplary, personal commitment of teachers, and full service. The results of this study provide benefits for the world of education regarding how strategies in shaping children's character. Latar belakang masalah penelitian ialah masih terdapat siswa yang masih tidak mempunyai karakter seperti sopan santun pada guru. Tujuan  penelitian ini adalah menganalisis strategi guru PAI dalam proses internalisasi nilai karakter kepada siswa.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data penelitian dikumpulan melalui teknik wawancara dan observasi. Wawancara dilakukan kepada kepala madrasah, wakil kepala bidang kurilulum, guru, dan siswa. Sementara itu, observasi dilakukan terhadap kegiatan siswa bersama guru, baik di kelas maupun di luar kelas.  Keabsahan data diuji menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan guru PAI menerapkan strategi pemberdayaan diri siswa (self-efficacy), pembiasaan (conditioning), dan perwujudanlingkungan yang peduli (caring community). Sedangkan kunci keberhasilannya terletak pada keteladanan diri, komitmen pribadi guru, dan layana penuh. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan manfaat bagi dunia pendidikan mengenai bagaimana strategi dalam membentuk karakter anak.

Abstract

The involvement of women in acts of intolerance and radicalism disturbs religious harmony in Indonesia. The phenomenon of the Surabaya bombing involving women as the main perpetrators of acts of terrorism proves that acts of terrorism, which initially had a patriarchal masculine face, later made use of women with their feminine approaches. In such anxiety arises the Srikandi Lintas Iman Community in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This community is an alternative for women in sowing the values ​​of diversity, tolerance, and peace among the people. For this reason, it is important to research this community. This study aims to determine the construction and implementation of inclusive religious education built by the interfaith heroine community and the role of women in the development of inclusive religious education. This type of research is qualitative research. The research approach used is the educational sociology approach. The results of the study show that the construction of inclusive religious education in the Srikandi Lintas Iman Community in Yogyakarta stands on the principles and implementation of humanism and democratic values ​​, which include pluralism, justice, equality, doing good to others, and honesty which is manifested in community activities. The implementation of inclusive religious education is classified into several activity groups; religious studies, interfaith dialogue, and interfaith cooperation while the role of women in the development of inclusive religious education in the Srikandi Lintas Iman Community includes the domestic role of the family and the transition role of social and religious communities.

Abstract

Abstrak Jurnal ini membahas relevansi Islam Wasathiyah dengan konsep pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Dinamika umat Islam di Indonesia saat ini tengah dihadapkan pada tantangan paham-paham ekstrem yang tidak sesuai dengan karakteristik bangsa. Aliran-aliran tersebut dapat merusak kehidupan masyarakat, termasuk paham-paham yang mengatasnamakan Islam. Dalam konteks ini, pendidikan menjadi krusial untuk mengatasi tantangan ini. Penelitian ini mencoba menjawab dampak dari paham ekstrem tersebut, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Fokus penelitian terutama pada pesantren dan madrasah sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam. Pesantren, sebagai institusi tertua, memiliki peran besar dalam membentuk karakter dan keislaman individu. Madrasah, meskipun lebih muda, juga memiliki dampak signifikan dalam sistem pendidikan nasional. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif literature review, penelitian ini mengusulkan konsep Islam Wasathiyah sebagai solusi untuk menghadapi tantangan ekstremisme. Islam Wasathiyah mengedepankan nilai-nilai seperti toleransi, kebaikan, keadilan, kemudahan, kebijaksanaan, keihlasan, dan keseimbangan. Konsep ini diaplikasikan dalam kurikulum pesantren dan madrasah, dengan tujuan mencetak generasi yang tidak hanya memiliki keahlian agama tetapi juga siap menghadapi kehidupan di masyarakat. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana Islam Wasathiyah dapat diintegrasikan dalam pendidikan Islam di Indonesia, terutama di pesantren dan madrasah. Upaya ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan generasi yang moderat, toleran, dan mampu menjaga keberagaman di tengah masyarakat. Kata Kunci : Islam, Wasathiyah, Pendidikan

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed the way educational institutions, including Islamic boarding schools, build communication, disseminate information, and develop students’ literacy skills. In this context, the Islamic boarding school content creation team functions not only as a media publication manager but also as a facilitator of digital literacy learning. This study aims to analyze the role of content creators at the Fadlun Minalloh Islamic Boarding School in Bantul in strengthening students’ social media information literacy, identifying literacy practices that emerge from students’ involvement in media activities, and explaining factors that support and hinder their implementation. This study used qualitative field research with data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants consisted of two students, two media team members, one ustaz, and one media division leader selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed thematically, while validity was strengthened through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that the content creation team functions as a mediator of religious values and social media information literacy through regulated access, message comprehension, content evaluation, guided content production, and ethical interaction. The media team also strengthens value-based digital literacy by linking digital communication with discipline, worship, daʿwa, and pesantren identity. Supporting factors include leadership support, facilities, team enthusiasm, alumni networks, and WhatsApp-based circulation. Inhibiting factors include unstable production discipline, coordination problems, and technical limitations. This study confirms that pesantren-based media teams can become practice-based literacy spaces, although the findings should be understood within the context of a single-site qualitative study.
