Abstract

Pembelajaran kimia memiliki karakteristik khas karena banyak memuat konsep yang bersifat abstrak dan tidak dapat diamati secara langsung oleh siswa, seperti pada materi asam–basa yang masih mengandung banyak konsep mikroskopis. Karakteristik ini menyebabkan kimia sering dianggap sulit, sehingga siswa mengalami kesulitan memahami konsep dan cenderung kehilangan motivasi belajar. Kondisi tersebut sejalan dengan permasalahan yang diungkapkan dalam abstrak, bahwa pendidikan kimia di sekolah menengah sering menghadapi penurunan motivasi belajar siswa serta kesulitan dalam memahami konsep kimia yang bersifat abstrak.Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan alat peraga dalam pembelajaran kimia. Alat peraga dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep secara lebih nyata dan membuat mereka lebih bersemangat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan alat peraga dalam pembelajaran kimia terhadap hasil belajar siswa melalui metode meta-sintesis kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dari 25 artikel jurnal nasional dan internasional yang terbit dalam lima tahun terakhir. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis tematik dengan mengelompokkan dan membandingkan temuan penelitian berdasarkan indikator motivasi belajar, pemahaman konsep, aktivitas belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan hasil belajar siswa.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan alat peraga dalam pembelajaran kimia terhadap hasil belajar siswa melalui metode meta-sintesis kualitatif. Abstract

Various instructional methods can be implemented by educators to encourage students to think critically, creatively, and innovatively. One approach that can be applied in the learning process is the use of learning resources that are capable of enhancing students’ skills and creativity, such as practicum e-modules. The development of a Chemo-Entrepreneurship–based practicum e-module in chemistry learning was motivated by the absence of practicum guides currently used in schools that incorporate Chemo-Entrepreneurship principles. Through the Chemo-Entrepreneurship (CEP) approach embedded in the practicum module, the chemistry content learned by students can be applied in laboratory activities to process materials into useful chemical products with economic value. This approach is expected to foster students’ entrepreneurial interest and inspiration through the learning process. This initiative is also aligned with the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes meaningful, contextual, and student-centered learning. The research problems addressed in this study are: (1) the validity of the developed Chemo-Entrepreneurship–based chemistry practicum e-module, and (2) the responses of teachers and students toward the developed Chemo-Entrepreneurship–based chemistry practicum e-module. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research sample consisted of 33 students from class XII MIA 1 at MAN 4. The data collection instruments included interview guidelines for the initial analysis stage, validation sheets, and questionnaire sheets for teachers and students. Data analysis techniques were carried out using percentage formulas. Based on the validation results from three expert validators, the e-module obtained a percentage score of 81.4%, which falls into the “very valid” category. Furthermore, questionnaire responses from two chemistry teachers yielded a percentage of 92.3%, categorized as “very good,” while responses from 33 students of class XII MIA 1 resulted in a percentage of 75.8%, categorized as “good”.

Abstract

This study was a pre-experimental study through one group pretest-posttest design. The objective of the study was to see whether there was an increase in generic science skills of students with problem-based learning model in the group activities. The subjects were the chemistry students of 2nd semester in Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Unsyiah. The data collection was conducted by using the instruments such as group activity and multiple choice of generic science skill. The data of group activities was processed from the observation scores while the pretest and posttest were processed by using the average of N-Gain. Based on the data analysis, there were significant differences in the pretest and posttest results KGS after the application of PBL teaching model. Referring to the N-Gain, an increase of KGS occured in all indicators. The highest increase was found in indirect observation while the lowest in logic inference. In indirect observation and cause-effect law, the consistent logic framework gained an increase in the medium category.
