Abstract

Muhammadiyah, one of Indonesia's largest Islamic organizations, has significantly influenced international discourse on moderate and progressive Islamic values. This research aims to explore the roles, impacts, and challenges Muhammadiyah faces in the global arena, focusing on issues such as limited resources, cultural adaptation, international coordination, and global perception. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses, including comparative and synthesis methods, this study seeks to provide insights into enhancing Muhammadiyah’s international strategies. Founded by Ahmad Dahlan in 1912, Muhammadiyah emphasizes modern education and social activities grounded in Islamic principles. Despite its non-political stance, Muhammadiyah has effectively promoted humanitarian, educational, and developmental initiatives worldwide. The findings highlight the need for strengthened institutional capacity, improved coordination between central and international branches, and increased investment in resources to support global programs. This research offers strategic recommendations to bolster Muhammadiyah's international presence and effectiveness.
