Abstract

The problems of Indonesian migrant workers (TKI), especially Indonesian migrant workers are complex. Weak regulation in favor of migrant workers and regulatory abuses are common. In addition, there is no clarity as to what can be done for ex-migrant workers working abroad. There is an idea in the era of the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) that former migrant workers be transformed into entrepreneurs with competency and integrity that conform to international standards. This paper will answer deeper regarding the dynamics and social problems among migrant workers and the potential for transformation into entrepreneurs in the era of the MEA. The methods were used in this study are qualitative methods as well as social and legal (juridical) perspectives related to regulation by conducting library research and collecting relevant documents.

Abstract

Amendments to the 1945 Constitution have provided even stronger guarantees for the independence of judicial power in Indonesia. The pre-amendment Constitution only mentions the promise of the freedom of judicial power in the Explanation section of the 1945 Constitution. The Explanatory Provisions have no binding legal force. The weakness of the law became a loophole for the interference of executive power in judicial power as occurred in the era of Sukarno (1959-1966) and the era of Suharto (1966-1998). In addition to strengthening the guarantee of judicial independence, amendments to the 1945 Constitution were also established by the Constitutional Court. The Constitutional Court exercises judicial power alongside the Supreme Court and the judicial bodies. Changes to the 1945 Constitution also assign duties to the Judicial Commission to supervise judges and judicial processes.

Abstract

Human beings need to be able to monitor their muscle health. Muscle health can be assessed by directly measuring its signal using an electromyography sensor or, recently, from a musculoskeletal modeling software such as OpenSIM. OpenSIM is an open-source platform for modeling, simulating, and analyzing the neuromusculoskeletal system. This work aims to simulate muscle forces during squat movement using OpenSIM simulation and validate the results using electromyography sensors attached to the body. The squat movement data generated from the optical motion capture system and the force plate will be used as inputs for the OpenSIM software. OpenSIM can provide output, such as a graph of the working muscle forces. That graph will be compared and analyzed with a surface electromyography sensor results graph. Based on the analysis results, the chart of working muscle forces generated by the OpenSIM software has shown a similar trend to the graph of muscle activity resulting from surface electromyography sensor reading. Therefore, the simulation results from the OpenSIM software were validated, and it was implied that the data collection process and the modeling were done correctly.

Abstract

Political parties are democracy's lifeblood. It is diffcult to envision a democracy without political parties. Political parties play an important strategic role. Political parties, in addition to facilitating public aspirations, are a source of recruitment for public offcials. as well as educating the general public about political education. The challenge is that political parties, including those in the financial sector, must be independent in order to play their roles effectively and without being partisan towards investors. In this context, restrictions on political party funding are required. Regulating party laws, unfortunately, has not been fully adequate in providing limits and strengthening accountability for political parties.

Abstract

Background: Lower-limb loss poses significant challenges to mobility, employability, and social participation for many individuals in low- and middle-income countries. In Indonesia, the high cost of imported prosthetics has prompted community-based small enterprises to produce low-cost transfemoral devices. Contribution: This study contributes to support a local prosthetics workshop (Independent Disabled Creativity Foundation/IDCF) by integrating user feedback and basic functional assessments to guide improvements to a transfemoral prosthesis prototype. Method: Seven transfemoral amputees completed the Locomotor Ability Index (LCI), then performed standing, walking, and stair climbing tasks assessed by the Amputee Mobility Predictor with Prosthesis (AMPPRO), Rating of Perceived Discomfort (RPD) questionnaire, and Post-test Interview with improvement concepts using the SCAMPER (Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to Other uses, Eliminate, Rearrange) creativity method. Results: Participants achieved independent ambulation (mean LCI = 51.00 ± 5.10; AMPPRO = 42.29 ± 3.15, K3–K4 classification). Common discomfort was reported in the amputated thigh, sound-side thigh, and ankle. Design adjustments were collaboratively proposed, including socket fit improvement, knee joint reinforcement, and coupler alignment. Conclusion: This study highlights the value of structured user feedback in guiding local prosthetic refinement. It demonstrates how participatory methods can support inclusive design and technical strengthening for community-based production.
