Abstract

The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has significantly influenced the livestock sector, particularly in improving the efficiency of feed management in poultry farming. Manual feed mixing is still widely applied, despite its limitations in terms of time, labor, and feed uniformity. This study aims to design and evaluate the performance of an IoT-based automatic chicken feed mixing system to enhance operational efficiency and real-time monitoring. The research employs a quantitative experimental approach based on system simulation, including hardware and software design, system modeling, and functional performance testing. The system is controlled by an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a DC motor, servo motor, relay, and an IoT-based monitoring application. Experimental results indicate that the system operates stably under various feed load conditions, with relatively constant motor voltage and power consumption increasing proportionally with the applied load. Energy consumption remains within an efficient range, while the IoT application successfully provides real-time system status monitoring with responsive performance. Overall, the proposed IoT-based automatic feed mixing system effectively improves feed processing efficiency, reduces dependence on manual labor, and supports the implementation of modern, technology-driven poultry farming systems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis performansi kabel N2XY pada sistem tiga fasa tegangan rendah dengan fokus utama pada pengaruh jatuh tegangan yang terjadi. Masalah jatuh tegangan dalam sistem distribusi listrik seringkali mengakibatkan turunnya kualitas pasokan daya, sehingga memerlukan analisis menyeluruh terhadap parameter sistem yang digunakan. Metode penelitian ini mencakup pengukuran langsung di lapangan, perhitungan manual menggunakan rumus dasar teknik listrik, serta simulasi dengan perangkat lunak ETAP 12.6.0 untuk memvalidasi hasil analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada jarak 1,3 km dengan kabel N2XY berpenampang 4 x 70 mm² dan beban total sebesar 20,7 kW, diperoleh jatuh tegangan sebesar 33,3 V (8,31%) berdasarkan pengukuran, 33,89 V (8,47%) dari perhitungan, dan 25,8 V (6,5%) melalui simulasi ETAP. Disarankan untuk memperbesar penampang kabel guna meminimalisir jatuh tegangan dan menjaga kestabilan sistem distribusi daya listrik

Abstract

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) is a technology that allows automatic control of machine tools through programmed commands. This research aims to design and build microcontroller-based CNC machines for material cutting applications. The use of microcontrollers as the main control is expected to provide flexibility and efficiency in CNC machine operations.The research methodology includes the stages of conceptual design, component selection, electronic system manufacturing, operational testing, and engine performance evaluation. The designed CNC machine uses a microcontroller controller to drive the stepper motor and control the cutting process based on G-Code data. The results show that this microcontroller-based CNC machine is able to produce cuts with an adequate level of accuracy and precision for material processing applications. Performance evaluations show that the machine can operate a wide range of sizes and types of cuts with consistent results. The implementation of microcontroller-based CNC machines can be an effective alternative in the development of material processing technology with reliable and adaptive automatic control to various industrial applications.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy that continues to increase in line with economic growth and community welfare demands optimal electricity distribution system reliability. Disruptions to the distribution network are often the main cause of power outages, which impact the quality of service to customers. PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Sinabang seeks to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the distribution system to minimize blackouts and improve service quality. The evaluation of network reliability was carried out by analyzing the System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) and System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) as the main parameters in measuring the performance of electricity distribution. The higher the value of these two indices, the worse the performance of the distribution system in maintaining the continuity of electricity supply. Through the analysis of the SAIDI and SAIFI values in 2023, this study aims to provide recommendations to reduce the rate of blackouts and improve the reliability of the power grid in the PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Sinabang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penentuan jarak gangguan pada saluran transmisi 150 kV di PT PLN ULTG Prabumulih menggunakan metode Double Ended. Dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan energi listrik, keandalan sistem transmisi menjadi kritis. Gangguan pada saluran transmisi dapat mengakibatkan pemadaman listrik yang berkepanjangan, sehingga penting untuk menentukan lokasi gangguan secara akurat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data dari gangguan yang terjadi, membandingkan hasil perhitungan jarak dengan metode Double Ended dan pembacaan relay Distance. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Double Ended lebih akurat dalam menentukan jarak gangguan, dengan rata-rata selisih hanya satu tower dari lokasi sebenarnya, sementara pembacaan relay Distance menunjukkan selisih yang lebih besar. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat membantu teknisi dalam mempercepat proses pemulihan sistem kelistrikan.
