Abstract

This research investigates the application of fuzzy logic with the Mamdani method to regulate room temperature using an air conditioner (AC) in a boarding house environment with a partition at Bogor City, Indonesia. By considering variables such as room size, external temperature (weather), and air conditioner specifications, this research aims to achieve a balance between occupant comfort and energy efficiency. The optimal temperature for each room in the boarding house will be determined through fuzzy logic calculations. This research aims to open up new potentials in intelligent and sustainable temperature regulation in a boarding house or similar environment. This research method uses fuzzy logic for room temperature control using Matlab software.

Abstract

This research aims to design the user interface of the HewanKu application using the User Centered Design (UCD) method, in order to improve user experience in buying and selling livestock transactions. UCD is applied to ensure that the design of the application interface is in accordance with user needs and preferences. The research method involves the stages of user needs analysis, design, prototype testing, and design iteration based on user feedback. Application testing was conducted using a Black Box Testing approach to ensure that the application functions according to specifications without navigation errors or feature failures. The results showed that the application of UCD succeeded in producing a more intuitive and efficient interface, as well as increasing user trust and satisfaction in transactions. The conclusion of this research is that the combination of UCD and Black Box Testing is effective in creating an application that is easier to use and reliable to support livestock buying and selling transactions. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the application of the User-Centered Design (UCD) approach in designing the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the CarbonArea website, which provides information on the impact of carbon dioxide (CO2) on food security. The research methodology included interviews with potential users, a literature review, as well as iterative stages of UCD, including understanding the context of use, identifying user needs, designing a solution, and conducting a design evaluation. The interview results revealed that users wanted interactive features such as maps and graphs for real-time monitoring of CO2 levels. The application of UCD proved effective in creating a design that meets user needs, while improving user experience and website attractiveness.
