Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in grade IV of SDN 10 Sapiran, Bukittinggi City. This study aims to describe the Improvement of Student Learning Outcomes in Science Learning Using the Discovery Learning Model in Grade IV of SDN 10 Sapiran, Bukittinggi City. This research is a Classroom Action Research that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. It is carried out in two cycles, each cycle includes four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 15 students in grade IV of SDN 10 Sapiran, Bukittinggi City. The results of the study showed: The average assessment of the Teaching Module in cycle I was 83.32% (B), increasing in cycle II to 94.44% (SB). Assessment of teacher activity in cycle I was 82.81% (B), increasing in cycle II to 96.87% (SB). Assessment of student activity in cycle I was 79.68% (C), increasing in cycle II to 93.75% (SB). The average assessment of student learning outcomes in the attitude aspect in cycle I was 80.16 (B), the knowledge aspect was 73.33 (C) and the skills aspect was 70.26 (C), increasing in cycle II the attitude aspect obtained an average of 81.86 (B), the knowledge aspect was 82 (B) and the skills aspect was 81.13 (B). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning model can improve student learning outcomes in science learning in class IV SDN 10 Sapiran, Bukittinggi City.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how to improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning, especially social studies using the Course Review Horay (CRH) model in grade IV of SDN 19 Koto Tinggi, Agam Regency. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), using qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was carried out in two cycles, with research procedures consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research data obtained was related to the learning outcomes of students in social studies learning using the Course Review Horay (CRH) model. Data collection techniques are in the form of tests and non-tests. The subjects of this study are Researchers as Observers, Grade IV Teachers as Practitioner Teachers and Grade IV Students of SDN 19 Koto Tinggi Agam Regency which totals 16 consisting of 8 women and 8 men. The results of the study showed that: First, the teaching module of the first cycle obtained an average of 81.25% (B), increasing in the second cycle to 95.8% (SB). Second, the results of the implementation of teacher aspect learning in the first cycle were obtained an average of 80.65% (B), increasing in the second cycle to 95.4% (SB). The results of the implementation of learning aspects of students in the first cycle were obtained on average 80.65% (B), increasing in the second cycle to 95.4% (SB). Third, the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle of the first meeting from the assessment of attitude aspects were obtained by students who stood out 3 people with positive attitudes and 3 negative attitudes, then increased in the first cycle of the second meeting with students who stood out with 3 positive attitudes and 2 people with negative attitudes. Then it increased again in cycle II with 4 outstanding students with positive attitudes and 1 negative attitude. Then the learning outcomes of students are seen from the aspect of knowledge and skills with an average of 75.95% in the first cycle, increasing in the second cycle to 90.75%. Thus, it can be concluded that the Horay Course Review (CRH) model can improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning, especially social studies in grade IV of SDN 19 Koto Tinggi, Agam Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian dilatar belakangi oleh kurang optimalnya hasil belajar peserta didik dipembelajaran IPAS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPAS melalui penerapan model Team Game Tournament di SDN 15 Lubuk Alung Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, yaitu siklus I terdiri dari 2 pertemuan dan siklus II terdiri dari 1 pertemuan. Data penelitian didapatkan melalui penilaian modul ajar, pengamatan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan teknik tes dan non tes. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan peserta didik kelas IV dengan jumlah 28 orang, terdiri 14 orang laki- laki dan 14 orang perempuan.Temuan penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan pada: a) modul ajar siklus I dengan rata- rata persentase 87,49% dengan kualifikasi baik (B) dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 96,42% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik (SB), b) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada aspek guru siklus I dengan rata- rata 84,37% dengan kualifikasi baik (B) meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 96,87% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik (SB), pada aspek peserta didik siklus I memperoleh rata- rata persentase 84,37% dengan kualifikasi baik (B) dan meningkat pada siklus II dengan rata- rata persentase 96,87% dengan kualifikasi sangat baik (SB), c) Hasil belajar peserta didik siklus I dengan rata- rata 78,4 dengan kualifikasi cukup (C) dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 92,74 dengan kualifikasi sangat baik (SB). Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model Team game Tournament dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS pada peserta didik.
