Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview and examine the concept of muannats in Arabic grammatical studies. The method used for this research is the library research method, with primary data sources in the form of classical books and secondary data sources in the form of journals, books, and articles related to the titles. From the research results, it is found that muannats has a sign to show its femininity in both isim and fi'il. Muannats, according to its authenticity, is divided into two, namely muannats haqiqi and muannats ghair haqiqi. The sign of ta'nits that appears most often is ta’; ta' itself has many functions besides gender distinction. Muannats in general has fifteen signs; in isim, there are eight signs fi’il there are four signs, and object, there are three signs. Finally, there are two alifs that function as a sign of muannats, namely alif maqshurah and alif mamdudah. The ta'nits marked by alif ta'nits maqshurah can follow the wazan فُعْلَى while the sign of alif ta'nits mamdudah follows the wazan"أفعلاء" "فعالاء؛فُعْلُلاَء؛فاعولاء؛فاعلاء؛فِعْلِيَا؛مفعولاء؛فَعَلاَءُ"؛"فعللاء"فعلاء"؛أفعِلاء.

Abstract

Digital transformation in Islamic boarding school education (pesantren) has become a strategic necessity in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0. This study aims to analyze the forms, strategies, and effectiveness of digital transformation in three modern Vocational High School Boarding School (VHS BS): ABC VHS BS (Bogor Regency), PQR VHS BS (West Bandung Regency), and XYZ VHS BS (Bandung Regency) as well as its impact on enhancing students’ employability skills. The research employs a qualitative approach with a multi-case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis, including digital policy documents, e-learning modules, and alumni employment data from 2022-2025. Thematic analysis was conducted based on Change Management, TPACK, and Dynamic Capabilities theories. The findings reveal that digital transformation in VHS BS encompasses four main dimensions: (1) digital policy and infrastructure, (2) capacity building for teachers and students, (3) technology integration in vocational and Islamic curricula, and (4) strengthening students’ digital employability skills. The implementation of digitalization has proven to enhance digital literacy, professional communication, collaboration, and Islamic work ethics. The success of digital transformation is determined by visionary leadership, human resource readiness, industry partnerships, and the internalization of spiritual values within the organizational culture of the pesantren. Theoretically, this study introduces a new concept of Digital Employability Skills Santri, which integrates technological competence, Islamic character, and industry relevance as the foundation for work readiness in the digital era. The findings contribute to the development of a conceptual model for digital transformation in Islamic education and provide strategic recommendations for implementing Indonesia’s Digital Education Roadmap 2030.

Abstract

Memorization of sacred texts, particularly the Qur’an (Hifz), is a vital global pedagogical practice in Islamic education, yet institutions consistently face challenges related to variations in students’ memorization speed and the durability of retention. These inconsistencies stem from varying individual cognitive capacities. This study aims to identify, apply, and evaluate the effectiveness of targeted working memory strategies in enhancing cognitive capacity and optimizing both the immediate memorization and long-term retention of Qur’anic content among students. Employing a quantitative approach, the study recruited 32 participants from the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University in Jakarta. Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistical tests, specifically the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, Mann-Whitney U-test, and Kruskal-Wallis test, alongside descriptive statistics, to compare pre- and post-intervention memorization and retention scores. The findings indicated a statistically significant difference between the mean pre-test and post-test scores, accompanied by a medium effect size, confirming the strategies’ immediate efficacy. Crucially, the decrease in scores between the post-test and subsequent retention measurement was significantly smaller than the decrease between the pre-test and initial retention measurement. The memorization strategy model used effectively enhances working memory function and significantly improves both initial learning and retention rates. This research strongly recommends the application of this strategy model within Islamic educational institutions to optimize students’ Hifz performance, bridging the gap between traditional practices and cognitive-pedagogical advancements.
