Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly changed the pattern of social interaction, especially among urban youth. One form of this transformation is "phubbing". It is a behavior in which individuals ignore others who are physically present because they are too focused on the smartphone. This study aims to understand "phubbing" as a new cultural pattern in the social interaction of urban youth in Pontianak. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, this study involved ten informants aged 18-25 years who actively used smartphones and had experienced phubbing, both as perpetrators and recipients. The results of the study show that phubbing has become socially normalized and integrated into everyday life, reflecting shifts in social values and norms of interaction. Although it is often considered a routine, phubbing also creates the ambivalence of being accepted and hated. This study shows that phubbing is more than just a digital habit but is also a cultural practice that redefines presence, attention, and social relationships in the digital age.

Abstract

Abstract The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has had a significant impact on the transformation of entrepreneurship, particularly in vocational high schools (SMK). Community service activities have benefited students at SMK-SMTI Pontianak in their study of the use of AI in legal marketing as an effort to improve the effectiveness of entrepreneurship. Through interactive and demonstrative training methods, students are encouraged to master AI-based digital tools such as Canva and ChatGPT while understanding the legal aspects that must be complied with in the digital marketing process. The integration of AI and legal marketing will increase the creativity and efficiency of product promotion and also instill the principle of legal compliance, which is important in building a sustainable business reputation. This educational model is effective in preparing students to adapt and innovate in running their businesses. The collaboration between SMK-SMTI and universities also strengthens the vocational education ecosystem that is ready to face the growing digital challenges. The use of AI in legal marketing will contribute to the development of competitive entrepreneurship based on strong legal foundations. Keywords: Artificial Intelligence; Legal Marketing; Entrepreneurship;   Abstrak Perkembangan pesat teknologi kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intellegence/AI) memberikan dampak signifikan ke dalam transformasi kewirausahaan, khususnya di lingkungan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan memberikan manfaat pada siswa SMK-SMTI Pontianak terhadap  kajian pemanfaatan AI dalam legal marketing sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan efektivitas kewirausahaan. Melalui metode pelatihan yang interaktif dan demonstratif, para siswa didorong untuk menguasai alat digital berbasis AI seperti Canva, ChatGPT sekaligus memahami aspek hukum yang harus ditaati dalam proses pemasaran secara digital. Integrasi AI dan legal marketing akan meningkatkan kreativitas dan efisiensi promosi produk dan menanamkan pula prinsip kepatuhan hukum yang penting dalam membangun reputasi usaha yang berkelanjutan. Model pendidikan ini efektif dalam menyiapkan para siswa agar beradaptasi dan berinovasi dalam menjalankan kewirausahaannya. Kolaborasi yang dilakukan antara SMK-SMTI dan Perguruan Tinggi juga memperkuat ekosistem pendidikan vokasi yang siap dalam menghadapi tantangan digital yang semakin berkembang. Dengan pemanfaatan AI dalam legal marketing akan memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kewirausahaan yang berdaya saing dan berlandaskan hukum yang kuat.
