Abstract

Every production process always needs to produce high quality with high productivity. However, in machining processes, qualities such as surface roughness and productivity such as material removal rates have different characteristics. Surface roughness has the quality characteristics smaller the better, while the material removal rate has larger the better. Therefore, determining the combination of lathe parameters is very important to get optimal results. A study has been carried out to determine the combination of lathe process on ST 60 material with an environmentally friendly cooling method to minimize surface roughness response and maximize material processing rates simultaneously. The coolant (cold soluble oil and air pressure), spindle rotation (550 rpm, 700 rpm and 1200 rpm), feed motion (0.053 mm / rev., 0.103 mm / rev and 0.161 mm / rev) and depth of cut (0.125 mm, 0.25 mm and 0.5 mm) were used as process parameters. The tool used in this study is a CNMG insert tool with a 0.4 mm corner radius. The experimental design was determined using the Taguchi method in the form of orthogonal matrix L18 (21x33). The optimization method used is the grey relational analysis. The results showed that an optimal surface roughness response and material removal rate obtained by setting the coolant process at level 1 of cold soluble oil, spindle rotation was set at level 3 at 1200 rpm, feeding motion was set at level 3 of 0.161 mm / rev. And the depth of cut is set at level 3 of 0.5 mm.

Abstract

In general, the smoke fish Processing Society is a society with a lack of knowledge, so that the smoking equipment is not equipped with chimneys because of the expensive production cost, the marination using a simple tool-less Practical and unproductive. So, it is necessary to develop a semi-modern fumigation technology and the community is easy to use. Smoking cabinet utilization as an alternative to environmentally friendly smoking methods is the time to apply in Indonesia. The problem faced by partners in the process of the daily fish smoking worker using the extra power to back the smoked fish, the coal fan and the harmful for the worker is the smoke issued by the fuel so that it can Interfere with the worker's breathing and make sore eyes. By looking at the conditions in the community in processing the smoked fish are done in a traditional and long time, so the need for a more efficient fish-sucking equipment, to help improve the process of smoking fish and reducing air pollution. From the results of this devotion produced a fish smoke machine with a capacity of 10 kg, 60 Watt motor power with an average temperature of 76oC. This smoke machine can reduce the moisture content contained in fish by approximately 10%. Besides, the partners understand the use and maintenance of equipment and with such tools can reduce air pollution.

Abstract

Based on the results of a survey in the village of Parijatah Kulon, Srono subdistrict, there are communities that conduct freshwater fish farming. One of the activities that must be carried out by farmers is feeding fish four times a day which is done conventionally by spreading feed from the pond side and is carried out continuously until the fish stop eating. This method is less effective because wasted feed will have an unfavorable impact on water conditions, and the energy and time used is less effective and efficient due to the limitations of farmers in determining the throwing distance, so it requires time to throw feed from one side to another pond so can provide even feed. The method used in this Community Service (PKM) activity is through the procurement of automatic fish feeder with a capacity of 30-40 kg with automatic fish feeder technology, training on how to use the equipment, maintenance and repair.

Abstract

Pancasila education in tertiary institutions is necessary considering students are the next generations who carry out the mandate to continue the nation's struggle in the future. As the next generation, students carry out the life of the nation in the midway of the existence of various ideologies in the world which can undermine the existence of Pancasila values. In this era of globalization with advances in information technology that can no longer be prevented , students can quickly get any information. Pancasila reflects the characters of the nations seen from the position of Pancasila in Indonesia as a guideline, purpose, and outlook on life. In addition, Pancasila can be a benchmark for good and bad, especially for the millennials generations. The millennials generations cand to want something that is instant. The impact of this is to make individuals not indifferent to others and consider themselves compared to their surroundings so that these individuals rarely socialize and prefer to depend on technology, especially in urban areas. The implementation _ of this research is to find out how the applications of Pancasila education in arousing a spirit of nationalism in the millennials generation in the digitalization era and to find out how the implementation of Pancasila education in arousing soulism in the millennials generation in the digitalization era. Abstract

Produk minuman botol atau produk lainnya yang dikemas dalam botol pada industri rumahan umumnya memerlukan waktu produksi yang relatif lama yang ditentukan oleh kualitas sumber daya manusia yang melakukan kegiatan produksi tersebut. Hal ini dapat berdampak pada besarnya pengeluaran biaya produksi dan tingkat efisiensi produksi yang rendah juga meminimalisir sumber daya manusia dengan sebuah alat atau mesin. Untuk itu dibuatlah mesin filling bottle and cupping secara otomatis untuk menghasilkan minuman kemasan botol yang praktis dan mudah didapat. Pada mesin yang dibuat ini terdapat komponen-komponen yang sangat berperan penting dalam pengoperasian mesin otomatis ini di antaranya Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) merupakan alat kontrol yang dapat diprogram secara logika untuk menerima input dan memberikan output. Perancangan PLC CP1E untuk filling bottle and cupping berkapasitas 500 ml, saat pengisiannya hingga penutupan 1 buah botol menghabiskan waktu rata-rata 50 detik dengan cara kerja pengisian air menggunakan penggerak pompa air mini DC dengan sistem timmer pada PLC dan saat penutupan menggunakan sistem pendorong pneumatik yang dibantu dengan motor DC 12 volt sebagai pemutar tutup botol. Alat ini diharapkan dapat mempermudan pelaku UMKM dalam produksi minuman, serta memberikan efesiensi waktu proses produksi dan meningkatkan daya saing dan produktifitas UMKM.

Abstract

Panel surya adalah alat pada sistem Pembangkit Listrik tenaga Surya (PLTS) yang berfungsi mengkonversi radiasi matahari menjadi energi listrik. Beberapa peraturan pemerintah telah diterbitkan untuk membantu mendorong dan meningkatkan penggunaan panel surya pada bangunan/gedung dikarenakan panel surya memiliki keunggulan yaitu bebas emisi/polusi dan mendukung green energy. Untuk mendukung kebijakan pemerintah tersebut diperlukan penelitian yang komprehensif tentang penggunaan sistem PLTS jika diaplikasikan dalan rumah tangga. Mengingat penelitian tentang penggunaan sistem PLTS dalam rumah tangga saat ini masih terbatas, sehinga diperlukan analisis yang komprehensif mulai dari tahap perencanaan hingga analisis biaya yang diperlukan dalam membangun sistem PLTS untuk rumah tangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung konsumsi energi pada rumah dengan daya 900VA, menghitung kebutuhan komponen PLTS, menghitung energi luaran PLTS, dan Perhitungan analisis ekonomi. Berdasarkan hasil sirvey terhadap kebutuhan konsumsi energi pada rumah daya 900VA, perhitungan energi luaran dari sistem PLTS adalah 1629.60 kWh/tahun dan menggunakan analisis RoI, titik impas akan dicapai dalam rentang waktu 13.79 tahun Diharapkan, hasil dari penelitian ini dapat dijadikan pertimbangan atau referensi untuk pelaku rumah tangga dalam membangun sistem PLTS

Abstract

AbstrakProgram pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berfokus untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas produk keripik pisang UMKM Obugame dengan menggunakan mesin continuous selaer with gas filling. UMKM Obugame mengalami permasalahan yaitu pada proses pengemasan produk yang masih manual menggunakan sealer sehingga menghasilkan kualitas segel yang kurang baik, kurang efektif, rentan mengalami kebocoran, serta masa simpan yang pendek. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini yaitu tahap analisis dan situasi mitra, tahap persiapan dan uji coba alat, tahap penerapan dan serah terima alat, tahap evaluasi, serta tahap pendampingan.  Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat tim Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi yaitu terjadi peningkatan kenaikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan sebesar 50% dalam proses pengemasan produk. Adapun hasil evaluasi atas kebermanfaatkan kegiatan PKM ini yaitu mitra dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengemasan produk sehingga meminimalisir terjadinya kebocoran pada kemasan, dan waktu simpan dari keripik pisang yang lebih panjang dengan menggunaka pengemasan mesin continuous sealer with gas filling . Kata kunci: continuous sealer with gas filling; kemasan; keripik pisang; obugame; pengabdian masyarakat. AbstractThis community service program focuses on improving the efficiency and quality of Obugame MSME banana chip products by using a continuous sealer with gas filling machine. Obugame MSME experiences problems in the product packaging process which is still manual using a sealer, resulting in poor seal quality, ineffectiveness, prone to leakage, and a short shelf life. The methods used in this activity are the analysis and partner situation stages, the preparation and tool testing stages, the implementation and handover of the tool stages, the evaluation stage, and the mentoring stage. The results obtained from the Community Service activities of the Banyuwangi State Polytechnic team were an increase in knowledge and skills by 50% in the product packaging process. The results of the evaluation of the benefits of this PKM activity were that partners could improve the quality of product packaging so as to minimize leakage in the packaging, and the shelf life of banana chips was longer by using continuous sealer with gas filling machine packaging. Keywords: continuous sealer with gas filling; packaging; banana chips; obugame; community service

Abstract

Pemesinan elektrokimia (ECM) adalah metode pemesinan non konvensional yang unik  dalam proses pembentukan benda kerja untuk parameter optimal karena  memeiliki keuntungan seperti tidak adanya keausan pada pahat (tool), sifat lapisan permukaan setelah pengerjaan mirip dengan bahan inti dan kualitas serta akurasi permukaan meningkat bersamaan dengan peningkatan laju pelepasan material. Keuntungan lain dari permesinan elektrokimia, yaitu tentang ekologi sehingga menciptakan minat industri dalam berbagai elemen manufaktur yang terbuat dari bahan dengan sifat khusus seperti pada pembuatan turbine blade. Dalam penelitian ini akan dilakukan eksperimen tentang optimasi parameter proses pemesinan ECM seperti voltage, konsentrasi jenis cairan elektrolit, dan gap width terhadap respon kekasaran permukaan dan material removal rate (MRR). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode multirespon dengan DOE (design of experiment) Taguchi dan Grey Relational Analysis (GRA). Hasil penelitian menunjuukan bahwa setting kombinasi variabel-variabel proses yang signifikan untuk memaksimalkan MRR dan meminimalkan kekasaran permukaan berdasarkan hasil optimasi dengan menggunakan metode Taguchi-GRA adalah kombinasi faktor voltage pada 48 Volt , konsentrasi elektrolit pada 150 g/l, dan gap width pada 2 mm. Variabel proses yang memiliki kontribusi terbesar terhadap variasi respon adalah yaitu voltage sebesar  65,18%,  kemudian variable gap width sebesar 23,55%, dan kontribusi oleh konsentrasi elektrolit oleh adalah sebesar 11,22%.
