Abstract

The share of Sharia banking in Indonesia remains relatively low compared to its conventional counterparts, primarily due to challenges such as limited product innovation, expensive third-party funds, and inadequate digital infrastructure. As digital transformation becomes a necessity in the financial sector, this study aims to analyze the influence of digital banking programs on the performance of Sharia banking in Indonesia. The research adopts a descriptive and verification method using a census approach involving 27 Sharia banks across the country. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate a significant positive impact of digital banking implementation on Sharia banks' business performance, measured through financial and non-financial indicators. These findings suggest that effective digital strategies aligned with Sharia principles can enhance competitive advantage and institutional performance. This study contributes to the growing literature on Islamic digital finance and provides practical implications for decision-makers in optimizing digital transformation initiatives in the Sharia banking sector.

Abstract

The development of information technology (IT) in the banking sector has transformed service delivery, including in Sharia banking in Indonesia. Digital banking has become a crucial strategy to meet customer needs and enhance competitiveness, especially considering the limited number of Sharia bank office networks compared to conventional banks. This study aims to examine the influence of IT and office networks on the implementation of IT-based business strategies in Indonesian Sharia banking. Using a descriptive-verificative approach, the research applies an explanatory survey method by distributing questionnaires to gather data from selected respondents. The results show that IT has a significant positive effect on the implementation of IT-based business strategies (coefficient = 0.628; T = 2.766; p = 0.006), while the office network does not show a significant direct influence (coefficient = 0.269; T = 1.443; p = 0.150). However, when combined, IT and office networks have a significant simultaneous effect on technology-based business strategies. This implies that although physical office networks remain important, digital infrastructure plays a more dominant role in driving strategic business initiatives in Sharia banking. Strengthening IT systems should be prioritized to enhance service delivery and achieve long-term business goals.

Abstract

This research comprehensively analyzes the impact of career development, work-life balance, and stress management on employee performance in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the leather craft sector. The MSME sector plays a strategic role in the national economy, particularly in job creation and its contribution to GDP. However, employees in this sector often face challenges such as production pressures, limited opportunities for professional development, and high workloads, all of which can affect performance. The quality of human resources, including limited skills, is also a persistent issue among leather artisans. This study employs a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 186 employees of leather-related MSMEs. The results indicate that career development, work-life balance, and stress management have significant impacts, both individually and simultaneously, on improving employee performance. Based on these findings, the research proposes implementation strategies such as skills training programs, flexible work policies, and work-environment-based stress management initiatives. Training provided by relevant agencies, including management and technical skills development, along with the provision of supporting equipment and facilities, is expected to improve production outcomes and product quality. This research offers both theoretical and practical contributions and serves as a valuable reference for MSME owners in managing human resources more effectively and sustainably.
