Abstract

Meningkatnya animo masyarakat terutama anak muda untuk menikmati kopi mendorong mereka untuk mencari tempat dimana mereka dapat memperoleh dan menikmati secangkir kopi sekaligus sebagai tempat untuk bersosialisasi dan mereka dapat menemukannya di kedai kopi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan skill barista terutama barista dan magang barista di kedai kopi Meja Kopi di kota Jayapura. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah mengikuti program pelatihan adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan dasar peserta pelatihan, meningkatnya pengetahuan tentang potensi usaha, meningkatnya keterampilan peserta dalam meracik kopi dan tumbuhnya motivasi peserta pelatihan untuk memulai usaha di bidang ini. Kata kunci: Pelatihan barista, metode on the job training. ABSTRACT The increasing interest of people in enjoying coffee encourages them to look for a place where they can get and enjoy a cup of coffee, as well as a place to socialize, and they can find it in a coffee shop.  This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of baristas, especially baristas and barista apprentices at the Meja Kopi coffee shop in Jayapura. The results obtained after participating in the training program are an increase in the basic knowledge of the training participants, an increase in knowledge about business potential, an increase in the participants’ skills in blending coffee, and an increase in the training participants’ motivation to start a business in this field. Keywords: Barista training, on the job training method.

Abstract

This study was entitled HIV Examination in prisoner patients referred to Bhayangkara Hospital TK II Jayapura City. The purpose of this study was to determine HIV infection in serum samples of inmate patients. This type of research is descriptive with a laboratory test approach. This study was conducted for 3 months starting from October 15, 2024 to January 15, 2025. The population and the number of samples used were all inmate patients who conducted examinations at the Bhayangkara TK II Jayapura City Hospital and the number of samples used in this study were 30 samples. The sample used is the serum of inmate patients. The examination method used is the Rapid Diagnostic Test Antibody Method using the Rapid Test tool ViroChek HIV 1/2 brand. The results showed that HIV testing in inmate patients from 30 samples showed Reactive results as many as 3 samples (10%) and 27 (90%) Non Reactive.

Abstract

Helminth infections in children are generally caused by Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) worm groups, namely Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura and hookworm. Children in orphanages who do not have parents and sometimes lack attention make them vulnerable to helminthiasis. This study was conducted in several orphanages, namely “A” Orphanage, “B” Orphanage Jayapura Regency, and “C” Orphanage Jayapura City, Papua. This study lasted for 3 months from November 5, 2022 - February 5, 2023. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of helminthiasis examination in children in the three orphanages. The type of research used was laboratory testing, the population in this study was feces from children in 90 orphanages, where each orphanage was sampled as many as 30 samples. The samples taken were examined using the direct method of 2% eosin as much as 2 drops. The results obtained showed that 30 samples from “A” Orphanage, 3 samples were positive for Trichiuris trichiura and Acaris lumbricoides worm eggs. Samples from “B”, 2 samples were positive for Trichiuris trichiura and Acaris lumbricoides worm eggs. While samples from “C” Orphanage Jayapura City, 2 samples were positive for eggs of Trichiuris trichiura and Acaris lumbricoides.

Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks the human immune system. HIV attacks white blood cells, which function as the immune system responsible for fighting infection. Timung is disguised as a traditional massage parlor, but inside there are female sex workers (FSWs) who offer massage services accompanied by sexual services to customers. This study aims to determine the results of HIV testing among female workers in several Timung in the Heram district of Jayapura City. The study was conducted from May 10 to July 30, 2022. The type of research used in this study was descriptive, with a laboratory test approach. The research method used Rapid Immunochromatography and SD Bioline. The population in this study consisted of all female workers in several Timung in the Heram district of Jayapura City, and the sample in this study consisted of 32 venous blood samples. The results obtained from 32 Timung women showed that 30 were HIV-negative and 2 were HIV-positive. Special attention and collective awareness are needed to prevent the spread of HIV from becoming more widespread and threatening the younger generation
