Abstract

Islamic marriage aims to establish a harmonious family; however, the high rates of divorce and Domestic Violence (KDRT) in Indonesia indicate the frequent neglect of wives’ rights. Sighat Taklik, a husband’s conditional pronouncement of divorce post-marriage contract (akad nikah), is an instrument within Indonesian Islamic law to protect wives’ rights. However, husbands’ understanding of its consequences is often minimal. This research aims to examine the urgency of sighat taklik in preventing family disharmony, analyze its concept, legal basis, and implications, and propose solutions to enhance its effectiveness. The method employed is descriptive-analytical, based on a literature review of the Al-Qur’an, Hadith, Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), Marriage Law, journals, and statistical data. The findings indicate that sighat taklik is a declaration of divorce contingent upon specific conditions such as abandoning the wife, failing to provide maintenance, inflicting physical harm, or neglecting the wife, the violation of which grants the wife the right to file for divorce by paying iwad (compensation). Its legal foundation is derived from Articles 45-46 of the KHI and Surah An-Nisa verse 128. Its urgency lies in protecting wives’ rights and serving as a reminder of spousal responsibilities, although husbands’ lack of understanding hinders its effectiveness. Proposed solutions include pre-marital socialization, educational modules, religious studies, and public campaigns to increase awareness..

Abstract

This study examines the long and diverse history of Islamic education policies in Indonesia, from the pre-independence era to the present day. The study aims to trace the evolution of these policies, analyse the various policies issued by the government, and assess their impact on the advancement of Islamic education in Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative literature review approach, examining various sources such as books, journals, and relevant documents. The findings reveal significant changes in Islamic education policies over time. During the Dutch colonial period, policies tended to restrict its development. After independence, the Indonesian government gave greater attention to Islamic education, although challenges persisted. The Reform Era brought important changes by granting greater autonomy to Islamic educational institutions. In conclusion, Islamic education policies in Indonesia continue to evolve and are influenced by social, political, and cultural factors. This study is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the evolution of these policies and the challenges and opportunities in the development of Islamic education in the future

Abstract

This research analyzes the concept and practice of management during the Umayyad Caliphate (661-750 AD), a crucial period in Islamic history. The dynasty established a vast empire from Spain to India, supported by an effective administrative and governmental management system. Muawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan, the first caliph, played a central role in developing an organized bureaucracy, military management, and an emphasis on justice and security. Yazid ibn Muawiyah’s reign continued efforts for political stability despite internal conflicts like the Karbala tragedy. Muawiyah ibn Yazid also contributed to socio-political stability and moderate state financial management. Umayyad government management advanced significantly by establishing various diwans (departments/offices) for military, finance, and postal affairs. The decentralization of power to governors reflected principles of division of labor and placing the right person in the right place. The legacy of Umayyad management, including structured administration and bureaucracy, remains relevant today in regional autonomy concepts and modern management principles

Abstract

This study examines management supervision from an Islamic perspective, focusing on its functions, stages, and framework based on hadis. Supervision is essential for ensuring organizational goals are met and activities are properly implemented, particularly in Islamic education. Key principles such as trustworthiness (amanah) and Allah’s omnipresence underpin supervision in Islam, emphasizing moral and spiritual accountability. Supervision is divided into internal (based on faith and tawhid) and external (mutual advice and social oversight). The stages include setting standards, measuring performance, and continuous evaluation for improvement. Hadis highlights that supervision must be carried out with integrity, faith, and awareness of Allah’s watchfulness. The findings underscore that Islamic supervision integrates moral, spiritual, and administrative elements, fostering responsible management rooted in Islamic values, thereby strengthening organizational effectiveness and sustainability
