Abstract

This research is entitled " THE STRATEGIES OF STREET TRADERS (PKL) IN SUSTAINING BUSINESS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC (Case Study of PKL in the Tugu City Selong Area)". In this study, researchers wanted to find out how the conditions of the street vendors around Taman Tugu Selong were during the Covid-19 pandemic and what strategies had to be taken to maintain business during the Covid 19 pandemic based on SWOT analysis. The type of this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach to the SWOT analysis method. The results of this study are. During the Covid 19 pandemic, many traders did not sell at Taman Tugu Selong as a result of the implementation of the PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions). Whereas based on the SWOT analysis the strategy that must be carried out in maintaining a business is a WO strategy by seeking to improve promotion strategies so as to increase demand for goods sold and try to promote using online media so that when unexpected conditions such as low visitors can be minimized by online marketing system.

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Influence of the Level of Economic Growth and Level of Education on the Level of Open Unemployment in Central Lombok Regency". In this research, researchers want to see how the level of economic growth and education level influence the level of open poverty in Central Lombok Regency in 2016-2022. This type of research is quantitative research with an associative approach. The analytical tool used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. That partial economic growth has no significant effect on open poverty in Central Lombok Regency (Y). This can be seen from the value of Tcount (1.220) < Ttable (2.571) and the significance value of Tcount (0.290) > alpha significance (0.05). Education level (X2) has no significant effect on open poverty in Central Lombok Regency (Y). This can be seen from the calculated T value (0.093) < T table value (2.571) and can also be seen from the significance value, namely calculated significance 0.930 > alpha significance (0.05). Simultaneously, the estimation results show that the variables of economic growth and education level do not influence simultaneously, this is proven by the calculated F value < from F table (0.793 < 6.94). The results of the R-square test for the independent variable on the dependent variable, obtained a result or value of 0.533 with a significance value (α) or alpha of 0.05 (5%). The R-square value in this research has meaning, namely that the influence of the economic growth and education level variables is able to explain the open poverty level variable in Central Lombok Regency of 0.533 units or 53.3%, and this figure shows a small influence. Meanwhile, the remainder was influenced by other variables not included in this study, amounting to 46.7%.

Abstract

Abstract

The development of the tourism sector is an important factor in encouraging economic growth in local communities, including in the Gili Air area, North Lombok Regency. The increase in the number of tourists and the development of tourist facilities is thought to have an impact on changes in the economic conditions of the community, such as increasing income, job opportunities and shifts in livelihoods. However, these benefits are not always felt equally by all levels of society. This research aims to analyze the influence of tourism development on the economy of the Gili Air community. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Research informants consist of local communities who are directly or indirectly involved in the tourism sector. The research results show that tourism development has had a positive impact in the form of increasing income, opening up employment opportunities, and developing community micro-enterprises. However, there are also negative impacts such as economic inequality and dependence on the seasonal tourism sector. The conclusion of this research is that tourism development has a significant impact on the economy of the Gili Air community, but more inclusive and sustainable management is needed so that the benefits can be felt equally by the entire community.
