<![CDATA[The theology of poverty stems from the belief that God is on the side of the poor and oppressed, and demands that His people bring justice to the world. This study shows that it is not enough for the church to simply preach the gospel verbally; it is also called to live out God's love through concrete actions that address social injustice. Reality shows that poverty is not merely an economic problem, but is related to social, cultural, and systemic structures that are imbalanced. The purpose of this study is to analyse the biblical perspective on the theology of poverty and to examine its implementation in church ministry as a prophetic and transformative effort in responding to social injustice. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, it is concluded that the biblical basis of the theology of poverty shows God's concern for the poor, oppressed, and marginalised. In the context of church ministry, the dimension of the theology of poverty requires the church to not only play a spiritual role but also to face the challenges of social injustice with a prophetic attitude. Therefore, contextual and transformative implementation strategies are needed so that the church can bring God's love, justice, and solidarity into the lives of the community.AbstrakTeologi kemiskinan berangkat dari keyakinan bahwa Allah berpihak pada orang miskin dan tertindas, serta menuntut umat-Nya untuk menghadirkan keadilan di tengah dunia. Penelitian ini, gereja tidak cukup hanya memberitakan Injil secara verbal, tetapi juga dipanggil untuk menghidupi kasih Allah melalui tindakan nyata yang menyentuh persoalan ketidakadilan sosial. Raslitas menunjukkan bahwa kemiskinan bukan sekedar masalah ekonomi, melainkan terkait dengan struktur sosial, budaya, dan sistem yang timpang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perspektif biblis tentang teologi kemiskinan serta mengkaji implementasinya dalam pelayanan gereja sebagai upaya profetis dan transformatif dalam menanggapi ketidakadilan sosial. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskritif dengan pendekatan studi literature, maka disimpulkan bahwa landasan biblis teologi kemiskinan menunjukkan kepedulian Allah yang berpihak kepada orang miskin, tertindas, dan terpinggirkan. Dalam kerangka pelayanan gereja, dimensi teologi kemiskinan menuntut gereja untuk tidak hanya berperan secara spiritual, tetapi juga menghadapi tantangan ketidakadilan sosial dengan sikap profetis. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi implementasi yang kontekstual dan transformatif, sehingga gereja mampu menghadirkan kasih, keadilan, dan solidaritas Allah dalam kehidupan masyarakat.]]>
