Abstract

The Tahila tribe is a community group that always tries to preserve culture. The culture that is always passed down is tau tais. Tau tais is a tradition that has been carried out by the people of the Tahila tribe since time immemorial. In this tradition they are directed to change bad habits that always cause problems. The problem that often occurs in the Tahila tribe is regarding the position of women (wives) in front of their husbands. This situation makes some women feel depressed and down so that in the end they close themselves off from being involved in social activities and religious activities. This research aims to determine: (1) the influence of the tau tais tradition on the development of the faith of Tahila tribe women; and (2) the meaning of the tau tais tradition in the Mulieris Dignitatem perspective. The model or type of research used by the author is a descriptive method. The research was carried out using a qualitative approach or research based on nature (natural settings) with the data sources being traditional leaders, community leaders, religious leaders and women figures in the Tahila Tribe. The Tahila Tribe is a community group that is involved in all activities, be it social, economic or religious activities. Their involvement really ensures the continuity and existence of culture. However, the issue of the role and position of women is a problem that exists in the Tahila tribe. Women are considered a secondary group and are only recognized as a complementary and additional group. Therefore, the tau tais tradition has become a real manifestation and step to change the bad views of society, especially their husbands, towards women.

Abstract

Audio Visual learning media is a learning medium that presents audio elements and visual elements simultaneously so that students get messages or information from visualizations both in the form of words and pictures equipped with sound. Currently, the younger generation is required to be able to keep up with the times, both in terms of technology, social, and culture. The younger generation does not have skills due to technological developments so that they can harm themselves and the people around them. The skills that must be needed are critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills and scientific argumentation skills. So one of the efforts that can be made to improve this situation is to run a problem-based learning model. Therefore, this study aims to find out (1). Meanwhile, data analysis techniques include classical assumption test analysis techniques and statistical tests. The results of the study showed that almost all students in class X experienced an increase in learning outcomes after applying audio-visual media with a problem-based learning model by the researchers. It is known that the number in the initial test is 1579%, increased in the final test by 2717%, and the average from the initial test is 45.11%, increased in the final test by 77.62%. Abstract

This study aims to determine the meaning of the Kofan Aof Maputu traditionfor the Matua tribe and how the Kofan Aof Maputu tradition influences the development of the Matua tribe’s faith. This research was conducted in Letneo Village, Insana Barat District, 2024 using qualitative research methods. The data collection techniques in this study were that the researcher used observation and interviews. Kofan Aof Maputu is one of the traditions that has been lived by the Matua tribe which is a cultural heritage left by their ancestors. As a legacy of their ancestors, the Matua tribe has a sense of responsibility to maintain and preverse this tradition. This tradition is carried out specifically for a mother who has just experienced the birth process for the first time. Literally, Kofan Aof Maputu means throwing away hot ash. In the Matua tribe tradition, a mother who hast just given birth is usually associated with activities that use materials containing hot elements; for example: bathing using hot water, always warming herself near a hot fire. Therefore, a ritual must be carried out to free the mother from activities that contain hot elements. There results of the study show that the Kofan Aof Maputu tradition has the meaning of safety for a mother who has just given birth for the first time. The safety in question is that the mother is restored and freed from all activities that contain elements of heat. Thus the mother can carry out daily routines and activities like other people, and is no longer bound by the elements of heat as intended during a mother’s rest period after giving birth. Maputu is also interpreted as something that always interferes with human life that can cause disaster for someone. Therefore, the mother and the newborn child must be freed from Maputu (disaster) so that they obtain manikin-oetene, aomina aoleko (peace and prosperity of the body and soul)
