Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan korelasi pemikiran Paulo Freire terhadap praktik pendidikan di Indonesia terutama tentang kebijakan kurikulum merdeka dan tawaran Paulo Freire terhadap persoalan yang dihadapi dalam dunia pendidikan kita. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini studi pustaka di mana peneliti mengumpulkan berbagai sumber penelitian dan referensi lainnya yang dapat digunakan untuk menjelaskan dan memecahkan persoalan yang dikemukakan. Persoalan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini berkaitan dengan praktik pelaksanaan kurikulum yang tidak merata karena sumber daya manusia yang tidak memungkinkan untuk dilakukan standarisasi. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif pedagogi kritis dari tokoh filsafat pendidikan, yakni Paulo Freire. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada korelasi antara pemikiran Paulo Freire dan kurikulum Merdeka. Poin penting yang menjadi titik tumpu adalah kebebasan dan kemerdekaan untuk mendapatkan pendidikan adalah hak setiap warga Negara. Namun perlu dipertimbangkan karakteristik wilayah terutama keberpihakan terhadap masyarakat dan wilayah yang masih tertinggal dalam dunia pendidikan. Rekomendasi yang diajukan kepada pihak pemerintah adalah agar dilakukan pemerataan pendidikan serta percepatan pembangunan di daerah tertinggal.

Abstract

Progressivism philosophy is one of the schools of modern educational philosophy that offers a new approach to implementing education in a better, quality direction and provides real guidelines for educators to facilitate student learning. The essence of understanding progressivism is to provide the widest opportunity for students (students) to develop according to their abilities, and emphasize the importance of the basics of independence and freedom for students in seeking any information that supports their development. The purpose of this study is to address the implementation of the philosophy of progressivism in Catholic religious education. The researcher uses the literature review method to collect sources related to the implementation of the philosophy of progressivism in Catholic religious education. The results of research from various church documents and several studies show that teachers are still used as the only main source who must equip themselves with knowledge in order to be able to provide correct information and knowledge to students. Students have not been given the full space to explore the available learning resources. In this study there is an offer to change the pattern of learning according to the philosophy of progressivism. Through the application of the philosophy of progressivism all learning will be student-centered and democratic and independent learning activities will be realized.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increased learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education subjects for grade 4 students at SDN 25 Talhut. This research uses a classroom research method carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The average score students obtained when using the PBL model in the first cycle was 69%, and in the second cycle, it was 85%, according to the research results for the two processes. If the PBL learning model is implemented well and consistently, it will improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Catholic Religious Education as one of the subjects taught at the basic education level. Religious education here takes a central role in moral education because it is only in the context of religion that a student's life experience can be seen through the lens of faith, being an experience of faith so that what is taught to students about morality will truly take root in the student's heart. This is what needs to be understood by all education actors, especially schools and teachers so that the education carried out in schools really develops students holistically. Students are expected to be skilled in applying it in everyday life, but the reality in the field is that children experience many difficulties, especially the low motivation of students to learn on my unique personal material. One of the efforts to improve student learning outcomes is the Problem Based Learning Method. As a formulation of the problem in this study, can the Problem Based Leraning Method improve the learning outcomes of grade IV Phase B students of SD Negeri 20 Sengkabang Muntik on the material I Am Personal Who is Unique in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year? And how is the application of Problem Based Leraning in improving the learning outcomes of grade IV Phase B students of SD Negeri 20 Sengkabang Muntik on the material I Am Personal Unique odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year? The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students of SD Negeri 20 Sengkabang Muntik on the material I Am a Unique Person. The subjects in this study were 5 Catholic grade IV students of State Elementary School 20 Sengkabang Muntik. Research activities are carried out for four months starting from the planning stage to the preparation of reports. The research procedure is carried out in four steps, namely, planning, implementation, obsercation and reflection. The data collection techniques used are observation and documentation analysis. The data analysis used is by comparative descriptive techniques that describe a learning technique with the desired results can be achieved.

Abstract

. The background to this research highlights the lack of effectiveness of the learning methods applied in class IV phase B for Catholic Religious Education (PAK) subjects in stimulating the development of students' critical reasoning. In facing this challenge, classroom action research was carried out by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model. This research aims to improve students' critical reasoning abilities and achieve the set learning targets. With quantitative methods, research was carried out through two cycles. The results of the first cycle showed an increase in students' critical reasoning by 73.5%, with a number of students reaching advanced and proficient levels. The second cycle showed significant improvement, with students' critical reasoning reaching 86%. Learning outcomes also increased, with more students reaching advanced levels. The implications of these findings illustrate that the application of Problem Based Learning is effective in improving students' critical reasoning and achieving the desired learning targets.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the critical thinking skills and independence of 12th-grade students in Catholic Religious Education through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the topic of advocating life values in society. Critical thinking skills and independence are essential for students to face the challenges of modern life and build a deeper understanding of the values from Scripture and the Catholic Church's teachings. The study was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted on 23 12th grade students. Observation sheets, critical thinking, and independence tests were among the instruments used. The study's findings indicate that the PBL model significantly improves students' critical thinking and independence. Cycle I saw a moderate improvement, but Cycle II saw a significant increase in students' critical thinking and independence following adjustments. Students were able to connect the values of Scripture and Church teachings with real-life contexts and became more independent in completing assigned tasks. Thus, the Problem-Based Learning model is highly effective in enhancing students' critical thinking and independence in the topic of life values in society within Catholic Religious Education. The implementation of PBL can continue to be developed to improve the quality of learning and students' life skills.

Abstract

This article was written based on the results of observations while teachers were taking PPL while pursuing professional teacher education. From the research, it was found that students' learning creativity was lacking due to the use of monotonous learning models and not using appropriate approaches for each subject matter. For this reason, the author tries to apply the Problem Based Learning learning model. Problem-based learning or better known as PBL is a learning model that is centered on students by providing problems from the real world at the start of learning. With this learning model, it is hoped that it can increase student learning creativity. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of problem-based learning (PBL) in increasing students' creativity in studying the material "Voices of the Heart" in class X at SMA Negeri 2 Mejayan, Madiun. Data was collected through written tests, observations and interviews. The research results showed a significant increase in student creativity after implementing PBL. Students become more active, involved, and able to produce more creative solutions to problems. This research shows that PBL can be an effective approach to increasing student creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the use of the PBL learning model with Canva media can increase student learning motivation, which is indicated by increased interest, active participation, and enthusiasm of students in participating in learning activities through the PBL model in students at SMA Negeri 1 Prambanan. This type of research is classroom action research with research steps, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection in each cycle. This study consists of two cycles. The research location is at SMA Negeri 1 Prambanan Sleman in Phase F students. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires and interviews. The results of the study in cycle 1 can be concluded that student motivation gets the criteria "good". This can be used as one of the benchmarks that learning activities with Problem Based Learning are good but need to be improved in asking questions to analyze critically, courage in conveying information, cooperation in groups, courage in expressing opinions and explaining reasons that support their thoughts. The results of the study in cycle II can be concluded that student activities get the criteria "very good". This can be used as one of the benchmarks that Problem Based Learning learning activities with Canva media are good and have increased compared to the first cycle. Based on the data obtained from the tests given to students in cycle 1, it was found that 66.6% of students were proficient and 33.3% of students were competent through the Problem Based Learning method. The desired achievement from this learning model in the second cycle is proficient 40%, proficient 50%, decent 10% and not yet developed 0%. The percentage of proficient students increased with the tests conducted in the second cycle, there was an increase in the percentage of proficient students. In cycle 1, the learning achievement was proficient 16.6% and proficient 83.3%. While in the second cycle, students who were proficient were 66.6% and proficient 33.3%. Looking at the learning outcomes in cycles 1 and 2, it can be seen that problem based learning was successful in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Catholic religious and ethics subjects education on the material of conscience through the learning model of Problem Based Learning. This class action research involves 36 students of class X-4 SMA Stella Duce 1 Yogyakarta in the 2023/2024 academic year. The action was carried out in two learning cycles. Data were collected with assessments in each cycle, and observation guidelines, and analyzed descriptively. The results of the class action research showed that in cycle I the average value of summative assessment results 1 of 36 students was 74.3 with a percentage of value categories of 11.1% feasible, 83.3% advanced and 5.6% proficient. And in cycle II the average value of summative assessment results 2 of 36 students was 91.2 with a percentage of value categories of 13.9% advanced and 86.1% proficient. Thus, applying the Problem-Based Learning model can improve students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education and Character Education (PAKBP) in class X Accounting with the Problem-Based Learning model. The method used in this study is the classroom action research method. The tools used to collect data are observation and tests. The object of observation in this study is the students' character as depicted in the Pancasila student profile. Learning activities using the problem-based learning model are applied strictly based on the syntax or stages of the model. This study was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection activities. The results of the study indicate that student learning outcomes on the Unique Personal I material from cycle I were 72% to 89% in cycle II. The increase that occurred from cycle I to cycle II was 17%.
