Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies implemented by social studies teachers in fostering students' social attitudes at SDN 81 Ternate City. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation of social studies teachers, students, and other related parties at the school. The results of the study indicate that social studies teachers at SDN 81 Ternate City use various strategies to foster students' social attitudes, including through group discussion approaches, case studies, educational games, and giving assignments that prioritize cooperation. In addition, the application of social values ​​in learning activities is also an important factor in instilling social attitudes among students. This study concludes that the active role of teachers in designing learning that involves social interaction between students is very influential in forming positive social attitudes. Therefore, it is hoped that teachers can continue to develop more creative and innovative strategies in building students' social attitudes in the future.

Abstract

Instilling social culture and religious values from an early age is an important part of character building for students. Teachers as agents of change have a strategic role in implementing these values in the school environment. This study aims to describe teacher professionalism in implementing social culture and religious values at SDN 16 Kota Ternate. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teachers at SDN 16 Kota Ternate have demonstrated good professionalism through the integration of social and religious values in the learning process, exemplary attitudes and behaviors, and the habituation of religious and social activities in the school environment. The obstacles faced include the lack of supporting facilities and the still existing differences in student backgrounds, but can be overcome with a personal and collaborative approach. In conclusion, teacher professionalism has a significant contribution in instilling social culture and religious values, which have a positive impact on the formation of student character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school principal management in optimizing teacher performance in Social Sciences (IPS) learning at SDN 8 Ternate City. The research approach used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that school principals have a strategic role in four management functions, namely: (1) planning, by developing a program to improve teacher competency through training and development of learning tools; (2) organization, by forming cooperation between teachers through working groups and clear division of tasks; (3) implementation, by creating a conducive work climate, motivating, and encouraging the use of innovative methods in social studies learning; and (4) supervision, by carrying out regular learning supervision to provide constructive feedback. Effective principal management has been proven to be able to improve teacher professionalism, improve the quality of social studies learning, and support the improvement of student learning outcomes.
