Abstract

The Workshop on Strengthening the Role of Families and Communities in Supporting Child-Friendly Cities was conducted to enhance community capacity in creating environments that support children's growth and development. This activity used a participatory research-based approach and was implemented through five stages: needs identification, material planning, workshop implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of child-friendly city concepts, positive parenting, and community roles. Evaluation using pre-test and post-test showed an average score improvement of 24.9 points. Twenty out of twenty-six participants created community action plans such as reading corners, neighborhood-based parenting groups, and supervised play areas. These findings indicate that a participatory educational approach can foster awareness and collective commitment to sustainably support child-friendly cities.

Abstract

The Influence Of The Application Of The Show And Tell Learning Method On The Expressive Language Skills Of Children Aged 5-6 Years. This study examines the urgency of developing aspects of language in early childhood, especially expressive language skills through the application of the show and tell learning method in children aged 5-6 years. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the application of the show and tell learning method on the expressive language skills of children aged 5-6 years at Kemala Bhayangkari 07 Gowa Kindergarten. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type of research. The design used is a non-equivalent control group design. The data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and also tests. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling consisting of 14 children in the experimental group and 14 children in the experimental group. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and non-parametric analysis using the Wilcoxon Sign-Rank Test. Based on the results of the data analysis conducted, Asymp. (2-tailed) = 0.001 <0.05 was obtained, so H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. there is a significant effect of the application of the show and tell learning method on the expressive language skills of children aged 5-6 years at Kemala Bhayangkari 07 Kindergarten.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah berperan penting dalam membantu anak menghadapi dan menyelesaikan tantangan yang mereka temui saat menjalani hari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai dampak penerapan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis aplikasi canva terhadap perkembangan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada anak berusia 5-6 tahun di TK Batara Bira Makassar. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen dan mencakup partisipasi dari 30 anak sebagai sampel. Data yang diperoleh mengindikasikan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam skor pre-test dan post-test. Rata-rata skor pre-test tercatat sebesar 11.93 dengan standar deviasi 2.939, sementara rata-rata skor post-test mengalami peningkatan menjadi 20.53 dengan standar deviasi 3.114. Analisis data mengungkapkan bahwa nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0.001<0.05, sehingga hipotesis alternatif (H1) dapat diterima, sedangkan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Temuan ini memperkuat bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis aplikasi canva berkontribusi pada anak usia 5 sampai 6 tahun di TK Batara Bira Makassar dalam peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah.
