Abstract

Religious moderation is important in state behaviour and international relations in the globalized world, impacting peace promotion and global security. The moderation of religion greatly influences the determination of state identity, adherence to international norms, and enhancement of diplomatic relations through promoting peaceful coexistence. This paper deliberates on the role of religious moderation using case studies of Indonesia, Norway, and India, referencing constructivist theory. The two most prominent Islamic organizations in Indonesia, Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah, actively cooperate in reducing sectarian strife and enhancing pluralism, which benefits both internal peace and the nation's improved international standing. Conversely, despite being a non-religious nation, Norway employs religious moderation as a strategic form of soft power, evidenced by its mediation efforts in the Oslo Accords. This reinforces Norway's reputation as an impartial mediator in international crises. Meanwhile, India faces a rise in religious nationalism, mainly Hindu nationalism, which has worsened social polarization and made it more challenging to enact moderation in both foreign and domestic policy. Analyzing these cases highlights the challenges of religious extremism and nationalism while emphasizing the potential of religious moderation to support domestic stability, facilitate diplomacy, and contribute meaningfully to more considerable peacebuilding efforts. Ultimately, this research underscores the critical importance of states incorporating moderate religious principles to promote internal harmony and contribute positively to international diplomacy and peace initiatives.

Abstract

In a feudal system, land is the main source of wealth and power. Meanwhile, Techno-Feudalism holds the concentration of power and data wealth in the digital realm which has a significant impact on economic, social and political structures. This research discusses the dialectics of religious ethics, capitalism and Indonesian citizenship in the face of the rise of techno-feudalism from the perspective of British scholars' orientalism. This study uses a multi-faceted approach, combining interviews, content analysis and scientific publication studies to reveal the complex layers of how British intellectuals interpreted and engaged with the historical discourse of inter-religious interaction in Indonesia amidst the shift from feudalism to techno-feudalism. The challenges of Indonesian citizenship in global civility and the flow of capitalism are the center of attention in this research. This research shows that the complexity inherent in cross-cultural academic interactions demands the growth of different perspectives on citizenship and national identity amidst the rise of techno-feudalism that has taken over capitalism. In this position, the power of religious ethics is increasingly relevant, being put forward as a controlling force towards moderate citizenship and economic system. As a recommendation that techno-Feudalism holds the concentration of power and wealth in the digital realm, which in many ways is considered potentially dangerous, must be immediately addressed in the necessary ways to explore and depict a better future.

Abstract

Abstrak: Stunting masih menjadi masalah gizi kronis di banyak daerah pedesaan, termasuk Desa Taman, yang dipengaruhi oleh rendahnya pengetahuan gizi ibu dan praktik pengasuhan keluarga. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi gizi perempuan melalui Sekolah Perempuan sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi, penyuluhan, dan integrasi materi gizi dalam pertemuan rutin SEKOPER PKH dengan melibatkan 100 peserta perempuan penerima Program Keluarga Harapan sebagai mitra. Media edukasi berupa komik disusun dan diuji dalam sesi pembelajaran partisipatif. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test yang masing-masing terdiri atas 10 pertanyaan tertutup untuk mengukur perubahan tingkat pengetahuan peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman gizi sebesar 32%, dari nilai rata-rata 60,9 menjadi 80,2 setelah program dilaksanakan. Selain itu, peserta menunjukkan perubahan awal dalam praktik pengasuhan sederhana yang mendukung pencegahan stunting. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi gizi berbasis komunitas melalui Sekolah Perempuan dengan dukungan media visual efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas perempuan sebagai pengelola gizi keluarga.Abstract: Stunting remains a chronic nutritional problem in many rural areas, including Taman Village, driven by low maternal nutrition knowledge and suboptimal caregiving practices within families. This community service program aimed to improve women’s nutrition literacy through the Women’s School as an effort to prevent stunting. The activities were implemented through socialization, nutrition education sessions, and the integration of nutrition-related materials into regular SEKOPER PKH meetings, involving 100 women beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program as participants. An educational comic was developed and tested within participatory learning sessions. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments, each consisting of 10 closed-ended questions, to measure changes in participants’ knowledge levels. The results showed a 32% increase in nutrition knowledge, with the mean score rising from 60.9 to 80.2 after the program. In addition, participants demonstrated early changes in caregiving practices that support stunting prevention. These findings indicate that community-based nutrition education delivered through the Women’s School, supported by visual educational media, is effective in strengthening women’s capacity as primary managers of family nutrition.
