Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Problem Posing learning model on students' self-efficacy. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent post-test only control group design was used. The research subjects were 11th-grade science students at Muhammadiyah Mlati Senior High School, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, and observations. The instruments consisted of post-test questions to assess self-efficacy and observation sheets to evaluate teacher activities. Data analysis used a two-way ANOVA technique. The results showed a significance value of 0.000, which is less than the 0.05 significance level. This indicates that the regression coefficient is statistically significant, and the H0 was rejected. These findings suggest that the Problem Posing learning model significantly affects students’ self-efficacy. The model contributes to 85.6% of the observed increase in students' self-efficacy. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Posing learning model plays an important role in enhancing students’ confidence in their academic abilities, making it a potentially effective instructional strategy in science education.

Abstract

This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) aimed at improving students' interest in learning mathematics through the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. The research subjects were 30 students from class XI Natural Science at Muhammadiyah Mlati High School (SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati) during the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection was carried out through observations, interest in learning questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The study's results showed a significant improvement in students' interest in learning. The average score for students' interest in learning increased from 1.76 (very low category) in the initial stage to 2.42 (low category) in cycle I, and reached 3.62 (very high category) in cycle II. In addition, students' learning outcomes also showed a remarkable improvement, with the average initial score rising from 34.4 to 56.1 in cycle I, and reaching 74.1 in cycle II, indicating that most students had met the Minimum Completeness Criteria. The results of this study imply that the application of the CTL model can be an effective strategy to increase students' interest and learning outcomes in mathematics, while also providing a basis for teachers, schools, and policy makers in developing more meaningful and contextual learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas sumber daya manusia (SDM) aparatur desa terhadap kinerja pelayanan publik di Desa Simangambat Hutagodang, Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. Pelayanan publik yang baik menjadi indikator penting dalam mewujudkan tata kelola pemerintahan desa yang efektif. Namun, kualitas pelayanan sangat bergantung pada kemampuan, profesionalisme, dan integritas aparatur desa sebagai pelaksana kebijakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Informan terdiri dari aparatur desa, tokoh masyarakat, dan masyarakat penerima layanan. Analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan sesuai dengan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas SDM aparatur desa, khususnya dalam hal pengetahuan teknis, keterampilan administrasi, dan sikap kerja, sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas pelayanan publik. Keterbatasan dalam kompetensi aparatur menyebabkan keterlambatan pelayanan, minimnya inovasi, serta rendahnya respons terhadap kebutuhan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya peningkatan kapasitas aparatur desa melalui pelatihan, pendampingan teknis, serta evaluasi kinerja yang objektif dan akuntabel. Peningkatan kualitas SDM aparatur desa menjadi kunci dalam penyelenggaraan pelayanan publik yang partisipatif, transparan, dan berorientasi pada kepuasan masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of economics learning at SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati and its impact on shaping students’ frugal behavior. The research employed a qualitative approach and was conducted August 2025, involving the principal, vice principal for curriculum affairs, economics teacher, and tenth-grade students as subjects. Primary data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, while secondary data were derived from supporting documents and photographs. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, which includes the stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that economics learning was designed contextually by linking theory to real-life practices and employing interactive and motivational methods to address time constraints and student boredom. The impact of this learning process is evident in the improvement of students’ understanding of economic concepts and their application in daily life, such as saving, budgeting, and avoiding consumptive behavior. Therefore, economics learning at SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati not only enhances academic competence but also fosters Islamic character values of frugality, discipline, and responsibility.
