Abstract

Plants as medicine have been a culture since ancient times. The culture of medicine in certain areas (ethnomedicine) has been inherited and preserved. There needs to be a strengthening of the rationality aspect to ensure security. This study aims to measure respondents' knowledge regarding rationalizing the use of ethnomedicine-based medicinal plants, before and after attending the training. This experimental research uses a one-group pretest-posttest design. technique sampling used total sampling, meaning all training participants were used as respondents. Respondents varied greatly. The largest category respondents were aged 51-60, with a bachelor's degree, and worked as entrepreneurs. Knowledge level measurements were carried out before and after training. The intervention was given to respondents through in-class and out-of-class training of 25 hours of learning at the Citeureup Medicinal Plant Garden, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. The mean pretest and posttest scores were 77.69 ± 11.77 and 89.13 ± 4.17 respectively with a significant difference (p <0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the 25 hours of training at the Citeureup Medicinal Plant Garden can increase knowledge regarding the concept of rationalizing the use of ethnomedicine-based medicinal plants

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana siswa kelas VIII A SMPN 11 Yogyakarta memiliki kemampuan untuk menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika dengan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) dengan materi segi empat yang terdiri dari aspek analisis, evaluasi, dan penciptaan. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif jenis ini. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan tes tertulis. Terdapat tiga siswa dalam kelompok tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemenuhan indikator HOTS berbeda untuk setiap kelompok siswa. Siswa di kelompok yang lebih tinggi memenuhi keenam indikator HOTS pada kedua butir soal, sedangkan siswa di kelompok yang lebih rendah memenuhi semua indikator HOTS pada butir soal nomor 1 dan memenuhi empat indikator HOTS.. Indikator yang tidak terpenuhi ialah indikator memilih metode solusi terbaik untuk menyelesaikan masalah dan indikator membuat ide, solusi/keputusan dari rancangan yang dibuat sebelumnya pada butir soal nomor 2. Siswa dari kelompok rendah hanya memenuhi 2 indikator pada setiap soal yaitu indikator menganalisa informasi yang diketahui dan ditanyakan, dan indikator membuat model matematika.

Abstract

Introduction: Oxidative stress causes various diseases. Inflammation is the body's response to tissue infections and injuries. Mulberry is a multifunctional plant with bioactive components that have potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. This study aims to determine the activity of antioxidants, anti-inflations, extraction processes, active compounds, and methods used for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory testing. Methods: Narrative review using a literature search using Google Scholar and PubMed. Results: The results of Morus alba and Morus nigra have antioxidant activity, the plant parts used by leaves, fruits, and roots. Various methods were used to determine antioxidant activity, including DPPH, reducing power assay, β-carotene bleaching, and Hydroxyl radical scavenger capacity. Conclusion: Anti-inflammatory mechanism of mulberry bioactive compounds by inhibiting several cytokines and inflammatory mediators such as IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-9, IL-10, IL-23a, IFN-ɣ, TNF-ɑ, MMP-3, MMP-9, TLR, COX-2, NF-kB and iNOS. Abstract

Conflict is considered an inevitable aspect and occurrence in human social relationships across all organizations. Conflict is a situation where differences in opinions, goals, or interests arise between two or more parties, potentially leading to tension, disputes, or disagreements. Conflicts can occur in various contexts, such as within families, organizations, societies, or even at the international level, and require proper resolution to prevent escalation into larger problems. Conflict can be understood as a disagreement arising between what someone expects from themselves, others, organizations, and what they experience in reality. If left unresolved, conflict can negatively impact a company or organization. However, conflict can also have positive impacts, such as increasing motivation, reducing stress, alerting leaders to unresolved issues, and encouraging both parties to engage in self-reflection. Addressing conflict effectively can ensure similar events do not recur and foster mutual respect among conflicting parties, leading to improved collaboration and productivity. This analysis focuses on describing mediation in traditional medicine conflicts in Indonesia using bibliometric literature analysis from 1973 to 2023 and examining scientific trends. The researchers used Scopus as a search engine, utilizing the keywords: Conflict OR Conflict Factors AND Traditional Medicine. Articles were selected from journals written in English and Indonesian. A total of 980 documents were retrieved for the period of 1979-2023. Vosviewer analysis revealed that research related to conflict and mediation in the pharmaceutical field is still lacking, highlighting the importance of conducting studies on mediation in conflict management within the traditional medicine sector. Although the number of publications has steadily increased, it remains below 40 per year. Interventions in topics such as experimental studies or compliance remain limited. Several countries experiencing increased conflicts have shown significant growth in the number of publications and collaborative studies over the past decade. The modest number of studies indicates that researchers still have numerous opportunities to develop better and more productive techniques to reduce and manage conflicts effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum for 10th-grade students at SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati. The research involved 18 teachers and 72 10th-grade students as the population, with all students selected as the sample using a total sampling technique. A quantitative approach with descriptive data analysis was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, observation questionnaires, and document analysis related to the curriculum's implementation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati has been successful, as reflected by the majority of respondents rating it as “Excellent” in the distributed questionnaires. This suggests that the curriculum has been applied effectively. These results are consistent with previous studies that highlight the benefits of personalized learning approaches in helping students catch up more efficiently. With continued support from various stakeholders, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is expected to become more optimal and contribute positively to the advancement of education at SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh pendekatan deep learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis murid pada materi matriks dengan konteks perjalanan wisata. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya pembelajaran bermakna yang tidak hanya berfokus pada pencapaian akademik, tetapi juga pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi sebanyak 30 murid kelas XI SMK dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sensus. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket Skala Likert dan tes berpikir kritis berdasarkan indikator Ennis. Hasil uji validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang digunakan layak dan dapat dipercaya. Uji normalitas dan linearitas menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dan terdapat hubungan linear antara pendekatan deep learning dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan nilai R² sebesar 0,084, yang mengindikasikan bahwa pendekatan deep learning memberikan kontribusi sebesar 8,4% terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis murid. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar guru menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam berbasis konteks agar proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih relevan, aplikatif, dan mampu menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis murid secara optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in improving the learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at 1 Samigaluh State Elementary School. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a research sample of 29 students. The study was conducted in two cycles over three months, from December 2024 to February 2025. Research instruments included open-ended tests to measure students' understanding and observation sheets to assess the learning process. Data were analyzed descriptively through data reduction, data presentation, as well as analysis and interpretation of research findings. The results showed that before implementing RME, students were less active in learning, with a mastery level of only 27%. In Cycle I, after applying RME, there was a gradual improvement, with the mastery percentage increasing to 38% in the first meeting and 56% in the second meeting. However, these results did not yet meet the minimum success indicator (≥75%), requiring improvements in Cycle II. In the first meeting of Cycle II, the achievement percentage reached 78%. By the second meeting of Cycle II, student learning outcomes reached a maximum level of 98%. The gradual implementation of the RME approach, accompanied by increased student engagement and variations in teaching methods, can significantly enhance students' mathematics learning outcomes

Abstract

The Community Service Student Creativity Program (PKM-PM) aims to produce learning media applications. The resulting application is in the form of developing a Literature application as a medium for increasing literacy. The methods of community service carried out during the program are Observing Partners' Conditions (Conditions, Problems, Needs), Designing and Developing Literary Applications, Socializing the Use of Literary Applications, Assistance in Using Literary Applications, and Evaluation and Testimonials. The results of program implementation show that the media developed is suitable for use. Product trial on 21 Gombang State Elementary School students who showed approval for the use of this media in learning. This learning media makes learning more interesting and varied so that students become interested and active in learning about fantasy stories.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Problem Posing learning model on students' self-efficacy. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent post-test only control group design was used. The research subjects were 11th-grade science students at Muhammadiyah Mlati Senior High School, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, and observations. The instruments consisted of post-test questions to assess self-efficacy and observation sheets to evaluate teacher activities. Data analysis used a two-way ANOVA technique. The results showed a significance value of 0.000, which is less than the 0.05 significance level. This indicates that the regression coefficient is statistically significant, and the H0 was rejected. These findings suggest that the Problem Posing learning model significantly affects students’ self-efficacy. The model contributes to 85.6% of the observed increase in students' self-efficacy. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Posing learning model plays an important role in enhancing students’ confidence in their academic abilities, making it a potentially effective instructional strategy in science education.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, critical thinking skills in mathematics are essential. However, mathematics is often perceived as difficult and monotonous, prompting the need for teachers to employ engaging approaches, such as Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). RME connects mathematical concepts with real-life situations to enhance students' understanding and critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze effectiveness of RME in improving junior high school students' critical thinking skills through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA approach. Data were collected from articles published between 2015 and 2025 in the WoS and Scopus databases, with 26 articles identified. The results indicate a growing number of RME-related publications, peaking in 2023 (10 articles). The most common research method was quasi-experimental (54%), with geometry as the primary topic (6 studies). Implemented strategies included e-worksheets, RME-based teaching materials, RME learning media, and RME learning models. This study confirms the effectiveness of RME in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills.
