Abstract

The Islamic Republic of Iran is a case study of the rise of Muslims inspired by the Islamic Neo-Revivalism movement which views that westernization and modernization are considered to have failed in responding to the political challenges of corruption, economic decline, social injustice, and spiritual malaise, such as the pre-Islamic period. After the success of the 1979 Iranian revolution, it was a turning point in the political and security constellations of Iran and the West which resulted in the emergence of collective inspiration from Muslims around the world for Iran's persistence in implementing theo-democracy principles which the West considered as a setback. This paper is an analytical study using a qualitative-descriptive approach. The results of this study regarding on Iran's theocracy and democracy principles, proved of the successful; a) public participation in politics; b) fulfillment of the rights of women and minorities; c) freedom of the press; d) effectiveness of general elections; e) a puralistic political party system; f) good governance.

Abstract

Artikel ini menguraikan hasil dari penelitian yang mengusut "Analisis Kebijakan Luar Negeri Korea Selatan Terkait Korean Pop Culture sebagai Instrumen Politik Luar Negeri Korea Selatan." Penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian kualitatif untuk mendalami peran Korean Pop Culture dalam kebijakan luar negeri Korea Selatan dan dampaknya. Sumber data utama mencakup dokumen kebijakan, pernyataan resmi pemerintah Korea Selatan, laporan media, serta wawancara dengan pakar pemerintah dan akademisi. Melalui analisis isi, penelitian mengidentifikasi pola dan tren dalam kebijakan luar negeri yang terkait dengan Korean Pop Culture. Konteks sejarah dan politik Korea Selatan, bersama dengan hubungannya dengan negara-negara lain, menjadi bagian integral dalam penelitian ini. Evaluasi dampak yang mencakup data statistik dan studi kasus turut membantu menggambarkan efek dari kebijakan ini. Penelitian ini menjunjung tinggi etika penelitian dan privasi informan yang diwawancarai. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang penggunaan Korean Pop Culture sebagai instrumen politik luar negeri oleh Korea Selatan serta konsekuensi globalnya, termasuk citra negara ini dalam kancah internasional.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the representative documentary Jalanan produced in 2013 as a learning medium in Pancasila education subject through the Piloting a Constructive Feedback (PCF) approach for tenth-grade students at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Paciran. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through observation, closed and open questionnaires, and informal interviews. The results indicate that the documentary effectively facilitates students’ understanding of Pancasila values, particularly social justice, humanity, and the rights and responsibilities of citizens. The implementation of the PCF model encourages active student engagement in providing feedback, critical thinking, and reflecting on the meaning of the film both personally and socially. Student responses revealed an increase in empathy and awareness of social issues that were previously underappreciated. This study confirms that social-reality-based documentary media can serve as a contextual learning alternative relevant to the characteristics of Generation Z and Alpha, and is effective in strengthening value-based learning in Pancasila Education.

Abstract

This study explores the strategic role of Pancasila as a living ideology in addressing the rising challenges of radicalism and intolerance in the era of digital globalization. The increasing spread of radical ideologies through social media, along with the growing exclusivist attitudes within Indonesia’s multicultural society, demands an adaptive and applicable ideological approach. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method using literature review techniques. The findings indicate that collaboration among state institutions, civil society organizations, and educational institutions is crucial in grounding the values of Pancasila within public and digital spaces. Deradicalization strategies that emphasize ideological education, media literacy, and humanistic approaches have proven more effective in fostering tolerance and preventing the spread of extremist ideologies. This study affirms that Pancasila must continuously be revitalized through cross-sectoral, concrete actions to remain relevant and influential in preserving national unity.
