Abstract

The problem that is often faced in mining activities in open pit mines is high rainfall that can hamper mining operations. Mine Dewatering is a handling of mine water problems by removing water that has entered the mining area (by utilizing differences in height and gravitational force) through drainage channels to temporary storage ponds (sump). This system is commonly applied for handling runoff from rainwater. The purpose of this study is to find out the volume of water entering the mining front, analyze the ideal sump volume to hold runoff water and analyze the ability and duration of pumping to slice water that is in the sump. The average rainfall obtained from data for 2019-2022 is 81 mm/day. The calculation of planned rainfall is determined using a gumble distribution, the calculation of planned rainfall based on the repeat period over 2 years is 201,658 mm/day. Based on the results of the study, the average rain time was 11.97 hours, rainfall intensity was 6,572 mm/hour, runoff coefficient was 0.9 and the rain catchment area was 692,000 m2. So that the runoff water discharge that enters the sump is 4,093.04 m3/hour, the total volume of water entering the sump is 98,233 m3/day. The ideal sump volume to hold runoff water is 71,813.36 m3. The pumping discharge is 1,841.62 m3/hour, the length of sump drying time with an estimated pumping time of 20 hours/day is 9 days.

Abstract

I In nickel laterite mining, it is necessary to map grade distribution and estimates to be able to calculate resources before the mining process takes place. Resource estimation plays an important role in determining the quantity and quality of a deposit. On the basis of the foregoing, a study was conducted on exploration activities aimed at determining the amount of nickel laterite deposit resources. In this study, estimation of nickel laterite resources was carried out using the Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) method. The purpose of this study was to determine the direction of distribution of grades and amount of nickel laterite deposit resources in the study area. This research was conducted using Microsoft Excel software, ArcGIS 10.8, surpac 6.5.1. Based on the results of the drilling database provided by PT X which totaled 20 drill points, the distribution of nickel laterite mineralization grades in the study area based on grade distribution maps, laterite nickel with grades <1 occupies the western and southeastern parts of the study area (green, yellow and red). , while the distribution of laterite nickel grades with grade values > 1 occupies the northeast, southwest and northwest (dark gray and purple colors). has nickel resources of 169.950 tons, with an average value of Ni content of 1,87% from the number of drill points of 20 with a spacing of 50 m.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efisiensi kerja Quality Control (QC) dalam mengendalikan kadar nikel (Ni) pada front penambangan dan stockpile di Pit 2, Kota Maba, Kabupaten Halmahera Timur. Metode penelitian bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, melalui pengambilan sampel bijih dari front penambangan dan stockpile selama tiga pekan berturut-turut. Hasil analisis laboratorium menunjukkan kadar Ni di front penambangan berkisar antara 1,61–2,41% dengan rata-rata 1,87% pada pekan pertama, 1,84% pada pekan kedua, dan 1,79% pada pekan ketiga. Sementara itu, kadar Ni pada stockpile rata-rata sebesar 1,82%, 1,84%, dan 1,74% pada periode yang sama. Selisih rata-rata kadar Ni antara front penambangan dan stockpile hanya 0,05%, yang umumnya disebabkan oleh kontaminasi alat sampling dan faktor cuaca. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem QC yang diterapkan cukup efisien dalam menjaga konsistensi kadar Ni di atas nilai cut off grade perusahaan sebesar 1,45%. Namun demikian, peningkatan kebersihan alat sampling dan prosedur preparasi masih diperlukan untuk meminimalisasi penyimpangan kadar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas analisis korelasi antara zona limonit dan saprolit berdasarkan data pengeboran pada area PT Gag Nikel di Provinsi Papua Barat. Endapan nikel laterit di wilayah tersebut terbentuk akibat pelapukan batuan ultrabasa di lingkungan tropis, yang menghasilkan profil laterit tebal dengan dua lapisan utama, yaitu limonit di bagian atas dan saprolit di bawahnya. Data diperoleh dari sembilan titik bor yang tersebar di area penelitian berupa data collar dan assay yang menggambarkan variasi litologi, ketebalan lapisan, serta kadar nikel pada berbagai kedalaman. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan perangkat lunak ArcGIS dan Surpac untuk pemodelan spasial dan korelasi vertikal antar titik bor. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lapisan limonit paling tebal terdapat pada beberapa titik bor tertentu, sedangkan lapisan saprolit tersebar merata di seluruh area dengan ketebalan yang bervariasi, termasuk area dengan ketebalan saprolit yang relatif tipis. Pemahaman pola sebaran dan hubungan spasial kedua zona ini sangat penting untuk penentuan model geologi serta estimasi sumber daya nikel laterit yang akurat dan optimal bagi aktivitas eksplorasi dan pengembangan tambang di Papua Barat. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan metode analisis dan pemodelan sumber daya mineral penting yang mendukung industri logam dan energi baru terbarukan di Indonesia.
