Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know and analyze: (1) the difference of guided discovery teaching style’s influence with part and whole method approach assisted by visual media toward pencak silat learning results, (2) the difference of high and low motor ability level’s influence toward pencak silat learning results, and (3) interaction between teaching style and motor ability level toward pencak silat learning style. This research used experimental method in 2x2 factorial design. The sampling technique is by purposive sampling technique and the sample was 48 students from the total population of 152 students. Data analysis techniques in this research used two way analysis of variance (ANOVA) in significance level α = 0.05. Conclusions (1) the learning results of pencak silat between the students who taught by using guided discovery teaching style with whole method approach assisted by visual media were better than the students who taught by using guided discovery teaching style with whole method approach assisted by visual media, (2) pencak silat learning results of the students who had high motor ability level were better than by using guided discovery teaching style with whole method approach assisted by visual media the students who had low motor ability level, and (3) there was interaction between teaching style and motor ability toward pencak silat learning results. It is suggested to used teaching style variation of guided discovery with whole method approach which is aided by visual media on the physical learning in term of pencak silat material.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to: (1) Analyze the contribution of eye-hand coordination to the result of standing throw shoot; (2) Analyzing the contribution of arm muscle strength to the result of standing throw shoot; (3) Analyzing contribution of concentration to result of standing throw shoot; (4) Analyze the contribution of eye-hand coordination, arm muscle strength, and concentration to the result of standing throw shoot. This study uses correlation analysis. The research procedure is: (1) preliminary study, (2) determining the variable, (3) making the research instrument, (4) taking the data, (5) processing the data. The subjects of this study were students of SMP Negeri in Semarang City who followed extracurricular handball which amounted to 70 students. Instruments and techniques of data collection using tests. Data analysis used simple regression and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that hand-eye coordination contributed 23.4%, arm muscle strength contributed 15.8%, concentration contributed 19%, and hand-eye coordination, arm muscle strength, and concentration together contributed significantly by 54.2%. The conclusion of this research is the factor of hand-eye coordination, arm muscle strength, concentration has a contribution to the result of standing throw shoot either alone or together.

Abstract

Understanding given through verbal and demonstration will be clearer if it is strengthened with developed multimedia. The use of media as a learning resource in basketball is very important, which provides opportunities for trainees or basketball extracurricular beginners to be actively involved directly through the developed media. The product development procedure includes analysis of the product to be developed, developing initial product, expert validation and revision, small group trial and revision, large group trial and final product. Data collection is carried out using questionnaires obtained from expert evaluations, and using field observations obtained from basketball training participants. Data analysis technique uses descriptive statistical analysis. The results of small group trial research that has been carried out, the categories obtained are "very good" with a mean score of 4.51 and large group trial with the category of "very good" with a mean score of 4.30, and this "Very good" percentage reaches 70%. In conclusion, the multimedia development product of Android-based referee signals recognition application in basketball game can be used by beginner players (players who have just learned/played basketball games) independently to get to know more about the rules of basketball game, especially the basketball game referee signals.

Abstract

The athlete's level of anxiety experienced by the Glagah Wangi Demak Athletic club will cause a less than optimal appearance and have an impact on the achievements. The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of imagery exercise and emotional intelligence toward the anxiety level of Gelagah Wangi Demak Athletic Club. The method used in this study is an experimental method with 2x2 factorial designs. Techniques of analyzing the data used are Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at significance level (α) 0.05. The populations are 25 athletes and the sample of the amount of 20 athletes, with purposive sampling through a sample based on characteristics (goals defined by the researcher). The instrument of the research is the emotional intelligence test and athlete anxiety test. The result using ANOVA analysis shows that there are differences of Fvalue = 6.568 > Ftable = 3.59 in imagery exercise. The differences emotional intelligence effect of Fvalue = 52.552) > Ftable = 3.59. There are interaction between imagery and emotional intelligence proved by Fvalue = 5.513 > Ftable = 3.59. The conclusion of the study is there are differences effects between imagery exercise (video and script). There are significant differences between athletes who have high emotional intelligence and those who have low emotional intelligence toward athlete’s anxiety level. There is an interaction between imagery exercise (video and script) and emotional intelligence toward athlete’s anxiety.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze: the effectivity difference between static target serving training method and dynamic target serving training method toward the float serve accuracy of the extracurricular volleyball students in Public Senior High School 3 Purwokerto. This research uses the experiment method along with factorial 2x2 design. The sampling method used is purposive sampling including ten female athletes and ten male athletes. The data analysis method used is Analysis of Variant (ANOVA) on the significance level (α) = 0.05. The variables of this research consist of two manipulative independent variables, namely static target serving training method and dynamic target serving training method, an attributive independent variable namely eye-hand coordination, and a dependent variable namely volleyball float serve accuracy. The results of the research are: the difference between static and dynamic target serving training method toward the float serve accuracy with the significance level of 0.001 and Fvalue = 16.791 > Ftable = 3.47. The difference between high eye-hand coordination ability and low eye-hand coordination ability toward float serve accuracy, with the significance level (α) = 0.000 and Fvalue = 140.698 > Ftable = 3.47. The interaction between serving training method (static and dynamic target) and eye-hand coordination (high and low), with the significance level (α) = 0.002 and Fvalue = 13.442 > Ftable = 3.47. This research concludes that there is significant influence between static and dynamic target serving training method toward float serve accuracy as well as high and low eye-hand coordination.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of betengan and gobak sodor traditional games that implemented as physical education learning materials in school to build student’s social characters, such as honesty, discipline, hard work, sportsmanship, communicative, cooperation, and responsibility. This study aims to analyze the differences of the characters that formed through both of these two traditional games as seen from the student’s gender. This study is a descriptive qualitative type of research. The data resource is 7th-grade students of Islamic Integrated Junior High School Ihsanul Fikri Magelang in the year of 2017/2018 in a total of 60 students. The subjects are ten male students, as well as ten female students. The result obtained in this research shows that all students can bring up the character indicators during playing betengan and gobak sodor games that implemented in PE learning process. The conclusion is that betengan and gobak sodor traditional games that implemented as a learning process in school can build student’s social characters if done continuously. In betengan game, the male student group is better in showing up honesty, discipline, and sportsmanship character. The female student group is better in showing up communicative, cooperation, and responsibility character. In the gobak sodor game, the male student group is better in showing up honesty, discipline, hard work, sportsmanship, communicative, and responsibility character.
