Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using sign language in the learning process of reciting the Quran for deaf students, by taking a case study at the Al-Adzom Grand Mosque. Deaf students, as children with special needs, face limitations in hearing, but still show high enthusiasm and motivation in studying the Quran. In this context, sign language becomes an alternative communication medium that allows them to understand the learning material more optimally. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods in the form of in-depth interviews with Quran teachers and student caregivers, as well as literature studies that support theoretical understanding. The data were analyzed descriptively to describe how the application of sign language affects the ability of deaf students to read and understand the verses of the Quran. The results of the study showed that the use of sign language was proven to be effective and had a positive impact on the development of the students' Quran reading skills. This finding confirms that physical limitations are not the main barrier in the process of religious education, as long as the methods applied are able to accommodate the special needs of students. Therefore, it is important for Islamic educational institutions to develop an inclusive and adaptive approach for students with disabilities.

Abstract

Understanding the education of aqil baligh children is one of the important aspects in shaping the character of a good young generation, especially in the context of Islamic teachings. In the fast-paced digital era and globalisation, the challenges in educating the Muslim millennial generation are increasingly complex, especially in understanding and applying the concept of education in accordance with religious teachings. This study aims to actualise an understanding of the education of aqil baligh children based on the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the Muslim millennial generation. The approach used is an understanding of hadith literacy relevant to the age of puberty, as well as how to implement these principles in the context of the daily life of the millennial generation today. Through counseling, discussions, and training, this community service programme educates parents, educators, and the general public about the importance of hadith-based education in preparing children to enter adulthood with solid moral, ethical, and faith. The expected results birutoto of this activity are increased public awareness and understanding of the importance of teaching in accordance with Islamic principles in the education of aqil baligh children, as well as the creation of a millennial generation of Muslims who are more qualified, noble, and ready to face the challenges of the times.

Abstract

Pemahaman tentang pendidikan anak aqil baligh merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam membentuk karakter generasi muda yang baik, khususnya dalam konteks ajaran Islam. Dalam era digital dan globalisasi yang serba cepat, tantangan dalam mendidik generasi milenial Muslim semakin kompleks, terutama dalam memahami dan mengaplikasikan konsep pendidikan yang sesuai dengan ajaran agama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengaktualisasikan pemahaman tentang pendidikan anak aqil baligh berdasarkan hadis Nabi Muhammad SAW pada generasi milenial Muslim. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pemahaman literasi hadis yang relevan dengan masa aqil baligh, serta bagaimana implementasi prinsip-prinsip tersebut dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari generasi milenial saat ini. Melalui penyuluhan, diskusi, dan pelatihan, program pengabdian masyarakat ini mengedukasi para orang tua, pendidik, dan masyarakat umum tentang pentingnya pendidikan yang berbasis hadis dalam mempersiapkan anak memasuki usia dewasa dengan bekal moral, etika, dan keimanan yang kokoh. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya kesadaran dan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pentingnya pengajaran yang sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam dalam pendidikan anak aqil baligh, serta terciptanya generasi milenial Muslim yang lebih berkualitas, berakhlak mulia, dan siap menghadapi tantangan zaman.
