Abstract

Stigma, discrimination and changes in health conditions experienced by HIV sufferers can have serious impacts on the psychological condition of sufferers, including increasing suicidal ideation which can be triggered by feelings of hopelessness, depression, and lack of social support. Resilience is known to play a role in reducing individual stress levels and reducing the death rate from suicide. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and suicidal ideation in HIV. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational analytical method and uses a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of 116 HIV sufferers selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) questionnaire and The Suicide Behaviors Questionnaire-Revised (SBQ-R). The statistical test technique used was the Spearman's Rank Test. The results showed that the majority of HIV sufferers' resilience was in the high category of 75 respondents (64,7%) and low suicidal ideation of 85 respondents (73,3%). There is a significant relationship between resilience and suicidal ideation in HIV sufferers (p = 0,000 alpha 0,05) with a moderate strength of relationship between the two variables and a negative nature or direction of the relationship, meaning that the higher the resilience of HIV sufferers, the lower the suicidal ideation in HIV sufferers.

Abstract

Recording the use of laboratory equipment is done in a logbook or daily log. Logbook is an important document for laboratory managers in managing the improvement of laboratory service quality. The use of logbooks has not been optimal, where recording is still done using conventional methods that are done manually. Filling in the logbook manually causes data on equipment usage to be untraceable, inaccurate and incomplete. Making an application in digital form will facilitate access to equipment data collection. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of feasibility (usability) of filling in the logbook in the form of a QR Code on the use of laboratory equipment in the Nursing Department of  Poltekkes Denpasar. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive with a cross-sectional design. The number of samples for the trial of the digital logbook filling application was 60 people. The sampling technique used the stratified random sampling technique. The data collection instrument used the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out by calculating the average SUS score. The results of the study showed an average score of 71,08, with the level of acceptance of the QR Code application categorized as "acceptable" with a grade scale in category C, adjective ratings "good". The conclusion is that in terms of usability, the QR Code can be accepted and used by its users and is feasible to be applied to the laboratory equipment usage recording system. Suggestions for support from policy makers to further improve logbook performance with a digitalization system.

Abstract

HIV/AIDS is an infectious disease that attacks the immune system, resulting in a significant decline in physical health and triggering vulnerability to psychological problems, such as hopelessness. Despair can lead to decreased treatment adherence, which may worsen physical conditions and accelerate disease progression. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between spirituality and hopelessness in adolescents with HIV/AIDS. This type of quantitative research uses a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size of 63 people was collected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection instruments used the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) and the Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS). Data analysis using Spearman's Rank Correlation Coefficient test. The results showed that 30 people (47,6%) had low spirituality, 28 people (44,4%) had moderate spirituality, 5 people (7,9%) had high spirituality and 4 people (6,3%) experienced mild hopelessness, 31 people (49,2%) experienced moderate hopelessness, 28 people (44, 4%) experienced moderate hopelessness and there was a relationship between spirituality and hopelessness with a p-value of 0.000 (p-value 0,005), correlation coefficient value of -0,664, strong correlation and negative direction which means the higher the spirituality, the lower the hopelessness. The inclusion of a spiritual approach in psychosocial interventions for adolescents with HIV/AIDS is recommended as a relevant strategy to reduce the risk of despair, strengthen psychological resilience, and enhance the overall quality of life of adolescents living with HIV/AIDS.

Abstract

Anxiety is a normal part of life. Excessive anxiety responses can affect exam performance and results. The OSCE is a comprehensive assessment of students' clinical competency. Final-semester nursing students are required to take the OSCE exam according to standards. With more exam material and different exam settings, this situation creates anxiety in students before the OSCE. The graduation rate of the Nursing Department of the Ministry of Health Polytechnic of Denpasar in 2024 reached 97,3% for the Nursing study program and 87.06% for the Diploma III study program. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to evaluate learning outcomes, which can be done independently (self-assessment) or assessed by group members (peer assessment), to prevent abnormal anxiety in students and achieve optimal passing scores. The purpose of this study was to analyze the contributors of self- and peer assessment factors to student anxiety in facing the OSCE exam. This study used a quantitative descriptive design. The number of respondents was 60 respondents, with a simple random sampling technique. The variables examined in this study were the anxiety levels of students who received self-assessment, peer assessment, and self- and peer assessment interventions. The research instrument used was the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRS-A) questionnaire. The Kruskal-Wailiss test was used to analyze the results, resulting in a mean anxiety rank of 26,10. The conclusion was that the most effective intervention was a combination of self- and peer assessment.
