Abstract

The surrounding environment is one of the primary factors influencing children's behavior. The environment has the potential to exert both positive and negative influences. This study aims to explore the impact of the surrounding environment on the behavior of elementary school students. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation and interviews. Field findings indicate that negative environmental influences can lead to undesirable behaviors among students, such as the tendency to use inappropriate language in communication. This study is expected to be followed up with the implementation of the "Goodness Advice Program" (NABA), which focuses on habituating students to consistently exhibit positive behavior. For more severe issues, schools are encouraged to collaborate with parents and the community to provide appropriate parenting support.

Abstract

This study reviews the lack of student activity and learning achievement due to the less varied teaching and learning methods, assignments that are not based on HOTS and lack of understanding of Pancasila Education material. The solution to these problems is to make improvements through the application of the GUNUNG model and the snakes and ladders game. This study aims to describe teacher actions, analyze changes in student behavior and student learning outcomes. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method with the target of the research being 24 sixth grade students of SDN Tamban Raya Baru. This study uses qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data are obtained by observing the activities of teachers and students, while quantitative data in the form of classical percentages of student activities and student learning outcomes are obtained from group and individual tests. The results of this study prove that teacher activity at meeting IV meets the criteria of "Very Good". Student activity at meeting IV reached 92% with the criteria of "Completely Active". And learning outcomes in the affective, cognitive and psychomotor aspects at meeting IV reached 92%. The conclusion is that the MOUNTAIN model can be used to improve teacher performance, student activity, and student learning outcomes. This study is recommended for school principals, teachers, and other researchers in using learning models that can increase student participation and learning achievement.
