Abstract

Weak parental control and also the role of peers make cyberbullying incidents in adolescents occur continuously. Cyberbullying has an impact on adolescents physically such as insomnia, loss of appetite and fatigue, psychologically adolescents will often feel depression and anxiety, and psychosocial Adolescents will feel more isolated, social rejection, and sense of being alone. This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting style and the role of peers with the self-efficacy of adolescent victims of cyberbullying in Matani II, Tomohon City. This research is a quantitative study using a cross sectional study design, the instrument of this study using a questionnaire. The respondents are adolescent aged 14 -17 years who are victims of cyberbullying by using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique with total 50 respondents. This research uses Spearman's rho statistical test. The result of this study about the relationship between parenting style and the self-efficacy of adolescent victims of cyberbullying and got the r-value = 0.000 ( a = 0.05) and the relationship between the role of peers and the self-efficacy of adolescent victims cyberbullying got the result r-value = 0.001. Based on the result, there is a strong relationship between parenting style of parents and role of peers with the self-efficacy of adolescent victims of cyberbullying in Matani II, Tomohon City.

Abstract

Preventing non-communicable diseases has always been enormous challenge for health workers, and unhealthy eating behavior is one of the causes of several non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and heart diseases. Nowadays are still many adults who adapt unhealthy eating behavior and this can also affect the family and everyone in the environment. The challenges of health workers in educating adults to have healthy eating behaviors are related to their habits, culture and awareness which are influenced by gender, marital status, knowledge about healthy food, family income, and ethnicity of adults. The aim of this study is to identify the factors related to unhealthy eating behaviors of adults in Tomohon City, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. This cross-sectional study was conducted to Adults in Woloan Village, Tomohon City. The Respondent in this study were 36 adults aged between 23 and 50 years, was taken with purposive sampling technique, completed questionnaire on sociodemographic factors (age, gender, marital status, and family income), knowledge of healthy food, and eating behavior. The data analysis using descriptive analysis and chi-square test. The study revealed that ethnic groups not related with eating behavior. However, knowledge of healthy food and family income were significant related to unhealthy eating behavior of adults. Knowledge of healthy food and family of adults are significant factors that can trigger unhealthy eating behavior of adults, and these also are considered as challenges for health workers to provide suitable health interventions in preventing unhealthy eating behavior of adults.

Abstract

AbstractThe specific objectives of this study were: (1) Analyze the effectiveness of Lasallian health education in order to increased knowledge and attitude. (2) Analyze the effectiveness of Lasallian health education in order to increase the self-care independency of people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). Research design of this study was  Pre-Experiment with target population patients with type 2 DM. 12 participants were recruited in the study with  purposive sampling technique. Bivariate test results of knowledge and attitudes before and after giving the Lasallian health education showed significant results with ρ-value of 0.016 (p-value <ά 0.05). Research result of self-care independency of type 2 diabetic patients in before and after giving Lasallian health education show significant result with ρ-value of 0.001 (p-value <ά 0:01). Transformation of people behavior or habit by a health education program should have three important determinant, there are cognitive,  affective and psychomotor aspects of participants to motivate and increase self-awareness, and adherence of self-care management and improving of quality of life.Keywords: Type 2 DM, Lasallian Health Education, Knowledge, Attitude, Self-care independency.

Abstract

The Covid-19 Pandemic provides its own limitations with health protocols and this can reduce the quality of caring behavior in patient care. The aim of this study is to explore caring behavior of undergraduate nursing student in their clinical practice during Covid-19 Pandemic. This observational study was conducted to 109 Undergraduate Students with purposive sampling technique in 2-4 years. The Caring Behaviors Inventory-24 (CBI-24) questionnaire was administered to respondents in this study. The data were analyzed use descriptive analysis by SPSS version 26. Caring behavior of student in clinical practice during Covid-19 pandemic shown that CBI-24 dimensions “doing with competence” attained the highest scores among the student in third and fourth years. Dimensions of “Being With” obtained the highest scores among the second-year students. However, the nursing school still have to improve the awareness of student in responding to patients needs and providing effective service to patients. Keywords: Behaviors, Caring, Nursing, Student Abstrak Masa pandemic Covid-19 memberikan keterbatasan tersendiri dalam pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan, sehingga hal ini dapat menurunkan kualitas perilaku caring mahasiswa dalam memberikan layanan keperawatan kepada pasien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku caring mahasiswa S-1 Keperawatan dalam praktek klinik selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian observasional ini dilakukan pada 109 mahasiswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel, purposive sampling pada mahasiswa tahun ke 2-4. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Kuesioner Caring Behaviors Inventory-24 (CBI-24). Data penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan SPSS versi 26. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa dimensi “doing with competence” memperoleh nilai tertinggi pada mahasiswa tahun ketiga dan keempat. Dimensi “Being With” memperoleh nilai tertinggi pada mahasiswa tahun kedua. Pendidikan keperawatan harus meningkatkan kesadaran mahasiswa dalam menanggapi kebutuhan pasien dan memberikan layanan keperawatan yang efektif pada pasien. Abstract

Introduction: Free sex is a sexual behavior that is driven by a desire carried out by both the same sex and the opposite sex without any marriage ties. However, there are still many adolescent who fall into free sex. This can make many generations of young people drop out of school due to free sex and sexually transmitted diseases can occur. Objective: The purpose of this study is to provide health education about the impact of free sex on adolescents by using telenursing method which is expected to increase adolescents' good attitudes towards free sex. Method: This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design with one group pre and post-test. Respondents from this study were adolescent who lived in Sarongsong 1 Village, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. Indonesia. Respondent in this research are 23 adolescent by using a total sampling technique. The statistical test used in this study was paired t-test with a significant value p-value<0.05. Results: The results showed the attitude of the respondents during the pretest; the mean is 65.70 and the post-test is 73.70 with P-value = 0.000. Conclusions: so, it can be concluded that health education about the impact of free sex on adolescents using the telenursing method is significantly effective in increasing adolescents' good attitudes towards free sex. It is hoped that the results of this study can add insight to nurses about health education methods for adolescents, especially related to free sex and hopefully health education about the impact of free sex on adolescents by using telenursing method can be used in health services for adolescents.

Abstract

Anak usia sekolah menjadi salah satu kelompok yang rentan terhadap berbagai masalah kesehatan, seperti penularan penyakit dan luka. Kurangnya pemahaman tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dapat menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab. Selain itu usia sekolah merupakan masa dimana anak sangat aktif berinteraksi satu sama lain, yang terkadang dalam interaksi tersebut dapat menimbulkan resiko cedera. Melalui program Dokter Kecil, anak-anak dilatih untuk lebih peduli terhadap kesehatan sekolah dan mampu memberikan bantuan awal jika ada yang mengalami cedera di sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membentuk dan melatih kader dokter kecil dalam melaksanakan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) serta kemampuan memberikan pertolongan pertama pada luka ringan yang terjadi akibat kecelakaan di sekolah. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi penyampaian materi secara interaktif, demonstrasi dan diskusi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SD GMIM 25 Manado pada 10 orang kader dokter kecil. Evaluasi dilaksanakan dengan menanyakan beberapa pertanyaan kepada peserta secara lisan, terkait Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) dan pertolongan pertama pada kecelakaan (P3K) serta menilai kemampuan peserta dalam melakukan simulasi cara penanganan luka secara mandiri. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan dari para peserta dalam menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat serta kemampuan memberikan pertolongan pertama secara mandiri pada luka ringan.

Abstract

Introduction: The use of gadgets is currently in great demand for all groups, especially among adolescents, but the use of gadgets is no longer controlled, causing users to experience dependence on playing gadgets to the point of forgetting their impact on health. Cognitivebehavior therapy is a solution by adolescents to prevent the negative effects of gadget addiction. Objective: This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of cognitive behavior therapyon reducing the intensity of time in using gadgets of adolescents at SMA Negeri 2 Langowan. Method:  This was quantitative research using the pre-experimental research design with one group pretest posttest design approach. The researchwas carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Langowan, North Langowan District, Minahasa Regency.The population was all students of class X MIPA1 at SMA Negeri 2 Langowan and the data was collected using the total sampling technique with the sample of n = 26 respondents. The instrument used was an observation sheet on the Intensity of Gadget Usage Time. Results: This research used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank statistical test. Based on the results of data analysis of the intensity of time in using gadgets before and after being given cognitive behavior therapy, the result shows mean rank post-test 10.50 and pre-test 0.00 with significant ρ-value was obtained = 0.000 (ρ= <0.05) whichmeans cognitive behavior therapy is effective to reducing time intensity in using gadget. Conclusions: As the conclutions of this study is cognitive behavior therapy is effective in reducing the intensity of time in using gadgets towards adolescents.

Abstract

Introduction: Since carrying out online learning in various countries, one of which is in Indonesia, various negative and positive factors have been found for school-age youth regarding their learning process so that the government issued policies for offline learning or mixed online and offline learning where through this it can be seen whether their self-efficacy or self-ability during online and offline learning increases or decreases. Objective: To analyze differences in adolescent self-efficacy in online and offline learning at SMA Negeri 1 Kawangkoan, Minahasa Regency. Method: Quantitative research with an observational research design through an analytic study with a case control approach, where the case group is youth with online learning and the control group is youth learning offline. The population taken in this study were all 20 students in class XI MIPA 1 SMA N 1 Kawangkoan using the total sampling method, where 10 students studied online and 10 students studied offline. The time of the research was February-August 2022. The instruments used were self-efficacy questionnaires for online learning and self-efficacy for offline learning. Results: Through a comparative statistical test paired sample T-test; Teenagers' Self-Efficacy in Online and Offline Learning shows that the value of Sig (2-tailed) = 0.000 where the value of Sig (2-tailed) ≤ 0.05, which means there is a significant difference between the two variables. Conclusion: There is a significant difference between adolescent self-efficacy in online learning offline learning at SMA Negeri 1 Kawangkoan.
