Abstract

Olahraga adalah salah satu faktor penting yang berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan manusia terutama dalam hal kesehatan mental, di mana kesehatan mental sendiri sangat mendukung kemampuan kita dalam menjalani berbagai aktivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara mental toughness dengan motivasi berprestasi tim ekstrakurikuler softball di sekolah SMAIT Raudhatul Jannah Kota Cilegon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional, sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik total sampling. Total sampling merupakan teknik pengambilan sampel di mana seluruh populasi digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian. Dalam penelitian ini sampel sebanyak 30 atlet total dari keseluruhan anggota tim ekstrakurikuler softball di SMAIT Raudhatul Jannah Kota Cilegon. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan pemberian kuesioner kepada responden yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara mental toughness dan motivasi berprestasi dengan kontribusi sebesar 45,4%. Berdasarkan hasil temuan pada penelitian ini maka didapati beberapa saran yang dapat menunjang penelitian ini yaitu, penelitian ini dapat ditindak lanjuti dengan beberapa penelitian lainnya terutama dalam bidang psikologinya, responden penelitian yang masih kecil cakupannya dan diharapkan untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat dilakukan pada jumlah koresponden yang lebih besar, dan bagi peneliti selanjutnya agar melakukan pengawasan lebih ketat pada saat pengambilan data agas hasilnya lebih objektif.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan skipping rope dan ladder drill terhadap kelincahan mahasiswa spesialisasi karate di Jurusan PKO Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan metode two groups pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kelincahan mahasiswa spesialisasi karate di Jurusan PKO Universitas Negeri Medan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 20 mahasiswa spesialisasi karate di Jurusan PKO Universitas Negeri Medan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan hexagonal obstacle agility test. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk uji hipotesis adalah analisis uji t (paired sample t test). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan uji t pertama diperoleh nilai t hitung (3.042) > t tabel (1.812), dan nilai p (0.014) < dari 0,05, hasil tersebut diartikan ada pengaruh penggunaan skipping rope terhadap kelincahan. Dengan besarnya nilai rata-rata posttest yang diberikan sebesar (15.83). Sedangkan uji t kedua diperoleh nilai t hitung (0.061) < t tabel (1.812), dan nilai p (0.953) >dari 0,05, hasil tersebut diartikan ada ada perbedaan antara sebelum diberikan perlakuan dan sesudah latihan ladder drill terhadap peningkatan kelincahan. Dengan besarnya nilai ratarata posttest (16.49). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan pengaruh penggunaan skipping rope lebih meningkat secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan kelincahan terhadap kelincahan mahasiswa spesialisasi karate di Jurusan PKO Universitas Negeri Medan.

Abstract

Purpose: Football has increasingly become a multidisciplinary field that integrates not only physical and tactical elements but also technological advancements to enhance decision-making. One of the prominent developments in this domain is the application of machine learning (ML) techniques to analyze match-related data, assess player performance, and optimize team strategies. This study aims to conduct a systematic literature review of contemporary research that employs machine learning algorithms within the context of football. Materials and Methods: A total of 50 scientific articles were initially retrieved from various reputable databases. Following a rigorous screening and eligibility assessment, 30 articles were selected for detailed analysis. Result: These studies employ diverse machine learning approaches, including Support Vector Machines (SVMs), Random Forests, XGBoost, Deep Learning, and clustering methods, for a wide range of purposes, such as match outcome prediction, player performance evaluation, injury detection, and playing position classification. The findings of this review underscore the potential of machine learning to contribute significantly to data-driven decision-making in football, providing valuable insights for coaches, performance analysts, and club management. Conclusion: Furthermore, this study identifies key challenges that remain, including data quality, data availability, and the interpretability of complex models. This review will serve as a critical reference for researchers and practitioners advancing intelligent technologies in sports, with particular emphasis on football.

Abstract

Introduction: Traditional games are part of local cultural heritage that have the potential to support physical, motivational, and social development in students. In physical education contexts, integrating traditional games may provide an enjoyable learning experience while enhancing students’ physical fitness and social character. Methods: This study employed a quasi-experimental method using a randomized control group pretest–posttest design. A total of 26 male students participating in soccer extracurricular activities were selected through total sampling and divided into experimental and control groups. Research instruments included the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI), a learning motivation questionnaire, and a social skills questionnaire (SSRS). Results: The findings indicate that the implementation of traditional Acehnese games led to improvements in students’ physical fitness, learning motivation, and social skills. Students who participated in traditional game-based activities demonstrated better physical condition, higher motivation to engage in learning activities, and more positive social interactions compared to those who did not receive the treatment. Conclusion and Suggestion: This study concludes that traditional Acehnese games are effective as an alternative learning strategy to enhance physical fitness, motivation, and social skills among students in extracurricular sports activities. It is recommended that physical education teachers and schools incorporate traditional games into extracurricular and instructional programs to promote holistic student development. Future research is encouraged to involve larger samples and different educational levels to strengthen the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of sports philosophy in shaping the professional identity of sports coaches through the integration of ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions. The background of the study is based on the tendency of coaching practices to emphasize technical and managerial aspects, while the philosophical foundation has not been studied comprehensively. The study uses a literature review approach with an analytical-conceptual design through the stages of identification, selection, evaluation, and synthesis of relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that the ontological dimension shapes coaches' awareness of the nature of sport as a process of developing a whole person; the epistemological dimension emphasizes the importance of integrating scientific knowledge and critical reflection in coaching practice; while the axiological dimension emphasizes the internalization of ethical values, sportsmanship, and moral responsibility. The discussion emphasizes that the professionalism of coaches is not only determined by technical competence, but also by the consistency of values ??and philosophical reflection that underlie their practice. This study concludes that sports philosophy plays a fundamental role in building a professional identity of coaches oriented towards character, integrity, and social responsibility.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam persepsi pelatih dan atlet terhadap integrasi teknologi monitoring dalam proses pelatihan olahraga. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada pergeseran fokus dari efisiensi alat teknis menuju eksplorasi aspek psikososial serta resistensi psikologis atlet yang seringkali terabaikan dalam studi sport science konvensional. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pemilihan informan dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling yang berlokasi di GOR Dispora Pancing, Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara, dengan melibatkan seorang pelatih (Bapak Aulia Habib) dan tiga orang atlet (Sukri Simatupang, Surya Ferdiansyah, dan Emelio Kenzo). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif di lapangan dan wawancara mendalam, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman melalui tahap reduksi, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatih memandang teknologi sebagai instrumen validasi yang memiliki kegunaan tinggi (perceived kegunaannya). Namun, pada sisi atlet, ditemukan dikotomi persepsi di mana transparansi data digital mampu meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik bagi sebagian individu, sementara atlet lainnya justru merasakan kecemasan kinerja (performance anxiety) akibat pengawasan digital yang konstan. Kesimpulannya, penerapan teknologi di lapangan tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kecanggihan perangkat, tetapi sangat bergantung pada harmonisasi komunikasi antara pelatih dan atlet. Implikasi praktis dari temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan literasi digital bagi pelatih lokal agar pemantauan data dapat diposisikan sebagai media pengembangan prestasi yang humanis, bukan sekadar alat pengawasan administratif. This study aims to analyze in depth the perceptions of coaches and athletes regarding the integration of monitoring technology in the sports coaching process. The novelty of this research lies in the shift of focus from technical efficiency to the exploration of psychosocial aspects and athletes' psychological resistance, which are often neglected in conventional sport science studies. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Informant selection was carried out through a purposive sampling technique located at GOR Dispora Pancing, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, involving a coach (Mr. Aulia Habib) and three athletes (Sukri Simatupang, Surya Ferdiansyah, and Emelio Kenzo). Data were collected through participatory field observations and in-depth interviews, which were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the coach perceived technology as an instinct validation instrument with high perceived usefulness. However, on the athlete's side, a dichotomy of perception was found where digital data transparency could increase intrinsic motivation for some individuals, while other athletes actually felt performance anxiety due to constant digital surveillance. In conclusion, the success of technology adoption in the field is not only determined by the sophistication of the device but highly depends on the harmonization of communication between coaches and athletes. The practical implications of these findings emphasize the importance of digital literacy training for local coaches so that monitoring data can be positioned as a humanistic achievement development medium, rather than just an administrative surveillance tool.
