Abstract

The aims of the research was to determine the effect dose of durio peel compost and concentration of rabbit urine liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of upright bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris L). The dose of fertilization is a dose of fertilizer given in units of weight per land area, while the concentration is the amount of solution needed in liters. The research was conducted from July to October 2022 in Tirip Hamlet, Kembaran Village, Candimulyo District, Magelang Regency at an altitude of 437 m asl. The research used a factorial experiment (4x4) which was arranged in a Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with three replications as blocks. The first factor of the dose of durio peel compost is 0, 150, 300, and 450 g. The second factor was the POC concentration of rabbit urine 0, 15, 30, and 45 ml. The results showed that different doses of durio peel compost provide the number of pods per plant, the weight of fresh pods per plant and the protein content. The higher concentration of rabbit urine liquid organic fertilizer increases the weight of fresh pods per plant and the protein content. The dose of durio peel compost fertilizer 300 g and without liquid organic fertilizer rabbit urine provides the highest protein content.

Abstract

Cassava is a carbohydrate-rich crop with significant potential as a staple food. However, cassava production has declined due to suboptimal cultivation practices. This study aims to analyze the interaction between the dosage and timing of fortified liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) from cow’s blood on the growth of cassava plants (Manihot esculenta Crantz.). The experimental design used in this study was a factorial completely randomized design (3x3 m) with 3 replications. The first treatment was the dosage of liquid organic fertilizer from cow’s blood (0 mL, 10 mL, 20 mL, 30 mL), and the second treatment was the timing of liquid organic fertilizer from cow’s blood application (every 3 weeks, every 6 weeks, every 9 weeks). The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance and further analyzed using an Orthogonal Polynomial test. The dosage of organic fertilizer did not significantly affect all parameters. The timing of liquid organic fertilizer application only affected the leaf protein content (8,08 %). The dosage and timing of liquid organic fertilizer application significantly affected leaf protein content (%), leaf wet weight (g), leaf dry weight (g), but did not significantly affect plant height (cm), number of leaf, number of shoot, photosynthesis rate (µmol/m2/s), and chlorophyll content (mg/g). The dosage and timing of liquid organic fertilizer application resulted in a protein content of 2,76 %, leaf wet weight of 2,54 g, and leaf dry weight of 2,74 g.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pertumbuhan dan hasil kedelai edamame (Glycine max (L.) Merr) yang efektif berdasarkan jenis media tanam dan pemberian jamur mikoriza arbuskula. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2022 sampai Agustus 2022 di Desa Salamkanci Kecamatan Bandongan Kabupaten Magelang dengan ketinggian ± 349 m dpl. Percobaan faktorial (3 x 4) disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok lengkap dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah jenis media tanam yaitu: tanah; arang sekam, tanah; kotoran ayam, soi; arang sekam; kotoran ayam. Faktor kedua adalah dosis jamur mikoriza arbuskular (CMA) yaitu: 10 g, 15 g, 20 g, dan 25 g. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis media tanam yang digunakan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah polong per tanaman, dan kandungan protein benih kedelai segar. berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot biji segar per tanaman, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot polong isi per tanaman dan bobot 100 biji kering. Jenis media tanam dengan tanah; arang sekam; Pupuk kandang ayam yang digunakan menghasilkan jumlah polong isi per tanaman yang paling banyak, dan berat biji segar per tanaman. Dosis CMA yang digunakan memiliki kandungan protein biji kedelai segar yang sangat nyata dan dosis 20 g yang digunakan memberikan efek yang lebih tinggi. Terdapat interaksi antara jenis media tanam dan dosis CMA terhadap kadar protein benih kedelai segar. dan bobot biji segar per tanaman. Dosis CMA yang digunakan memiliki kandungan protein biji kedelai segar yang sangat nyata dan dosis 20 g yang digunakan memberikan efek yang lebih tinggi.
