Abstract

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is type of fruit vegetable that is widely consumed by the people of Indonesia. Cucumber cultivation is still not intensive, that is many farmers do not do pruning and use inappropriate doses of fertilizers, so it is necessary to improve cultivation techniques through proper pruning and fertilization. This purpose of this study is to determine the effect of pruning time and dose of potassium fertilizers on cucumber crop yields. The research was carried out from January 9 to March 18, 2022 in Ngencek, Kalikuto, Grabag, Magelang, with an altitude of 510 m asl. The method of the research was factorial arranged in a completely randomized complete block design (RCBD) with two factors. The first factor is pruning time of 21 hst and 28 hst. The second factor is the dose of potassium fertilizers consisting of 0 kg/ha, 80 kg/ha, 160 kg/ha, and 240 kg/ha. The results showed that the pruning time of 21 days after planting had a significant effect on the flowering age of cucumber plants. Different doses of potassium fertilizers had no effect on plant length, flowering age, number of fruit per plant, weight per fruit, fruit weight per plant, fruit length, fruit diameter, and fruit volume. There was no interaction between pruning time and the dose of potassium fertilizers given.Keywords: Cucumis sativus L., doses, potassium fertilizers, pruning time.

Abstract

Taro (Colocasia esculenta L. Schott) is e tuber commodity that contains carbohydrates and can be used as an alternative source of food besides rice. This research was aimed to get the effects of liquid organic fertilizer on Taro’s vegetative growth. The research was conducted on September - December 2021 at Kebun Pendidikan Pengembangan Pertanian Bandongan Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Tidar University, Bandongan, Magelang Regency with an altitude of 360 m asl. The research method was arranged in Completely Randomized Block Design using a non-factorial experiments with one experiment factor and repeated three times. The research factor is POC concentration with levels: 0, 2, 3, and 4 ml/l. The research results show that POC applications with 3-4 ml/l concentration showed a very significant difference in length of stalk and significantly different in plant height.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pertumbuhan dan hasil kedelai edamame (Glycine max (L.) Merr) yang efektif berdasarkan jenis media tanam dan pemberian jamur mikoriza arbuskula. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2022 sampai Agustus 2022 di Desa Salamkanci Kecamatan Bandongan Kabupaten Magelang dengan ketinggian ± 349 m dpl. Percobaan faktorial (3 x 4) disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok lengkap dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah jenis media tanam yaitu: tanah; arang sekam, tanah; kotoran ayam, soi; arang sekam; kotoran ayam. Faktor kedua adalah dosis jamur mikoriza arbuskular (CMA) yaitu: 10 g, 15 g, 20 g, dan 25 g. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis media tanam yang digunakan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah polong per tanaman, dan kandungan protein benih kedelai segar. berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot biji segar per tanaman, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot polong isi per tanaman dan bobot 100 biji kering. Jenis media tanam dengan tanah; arang sekam; Pupuk kandang ayam yang digunakan menghasilkan jumlah polong isi per tanaman yang paling banyak, dan berat biji segar per tanaman. Dosis CMA yang digunakan memiliki kandungan protein biji kedelai segar yang sangat nyata dan dosis 20 g yang digunakan memberikan efek yang lebih tinggi. Terdapat interaksi antara jenis media tanam dan dosis CMA terhadap kadar protein benih kedelai segar. dan bobot biji segar per tanaman. Dosis CMA yang digunakan memiliki kandungan protein biji kedelai segar yang sangat nyata dan dosis 20 g yang digunakan memberikan efek yang lebih tinggi.
