Abstract

Monitoring of broadcasting content by various parties includes public awareness and participation to create a positive broadcasting atmosphere in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative method that focuses on the Environmental Care Program by KPID NTB in Banyumulek Village, West Lombok. The results showed that KPID NTB succeeded in building public awareness and participation in monitoring broadcast content through media literacy activities in the Desa Peduli Penyiaran program. This is reflected in two indicators, namely the creation of effective communication between the community and various parties and the increasing number of complaint desks that enter KPID NTB.

Abstract

This research analyzes the Interpersonal Communication (IEC) strategy in preventing love grooming on social media in West Nusa Tenggara. The research method used is qualitative, with a descriptive approach and bullet theory as the basis for analysis. The results show that bullet theory helps explain how grooming perpetrators use social media to influence victims' thoughts and behaviours. The KAP method, with its three main principles of increasing familiarity, speaking and listening techniques, and commitment, proved effective in preventing grooming. This method is able to increase cognitive knowledge, build affective empathy, and encourage conative action. Improving digital literacy also plays an important role in helping children understand the risks of online interactions. With proper education and counselling, children can more easily recognize and avoid love grooming attempts. This research highlights the important role of families and communities in providing education about the dangers of grooming and the importance of open communication to prevent such cases.
