Abstract

Dalam perusahaan atau organisasi, work engagement dianggap penting karena karyawan perlu terlibat sepenuhnya dalam menjalankan pekerjaan sehingga menjadikan karyawan lebih produktif. Namun menjaga tingkat work engagement pada karyawan outsourcing merupakan sebuah tantangan, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh kondisi kerja yang layak, upah yang adil, dan kesejahteraan dimana mengingat sistem kerjanya merupakan sistem kerja kontrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor serta tantangan-tantangan yang mempengaruhi work engagement pada karyawan outsourcing. Metode penelitian ini adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) menggunakan PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) dan Bibliometric Analysis. Dari proses seleksi, diperoleh 22 artikel jurnal dari berbagai database yaitu Ebsco, Emerald Insight, PubMed, Sage Journals, Scient Direct, Scopus, Semantic, dan Taylor and Francis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa person organization fit, job autonomy, dan work environment merupakan faktor yang paling mempengaruhi work engagement pada karyawan outsourcing. Selain itu, burnout, turnover intention, job insecurity, job fatigue, dan time pressure yang jika tidak ditangani dengan baik dapat menjadi tantangan atau menjadi penghambat dalam work engagement pada karyawan outsourcing.

Abstract

Generation Z is entering the workforce and tends to exhibit turnover intention. Meaningful work is considered as a predictor of turnover intention, however, there is still inconsistencies in the findings of previous research. Therefore, work engagement is considered as a mediator. This study aims to ascertain the role of work engagement as a mediator in the relationship between meaningful work and tunover intention among generation Z. This study was conducted on 130 generation Z employees (aged 18-27 years) with the method used is quantitative and data were analyzed using SEM-PLS with a second order factor model. The results indicate (1) meaningful work has a significant effect on work engagement. (2) work engagement has insignificant effect on turnover intention. (3) meaningful work has insignificant effect on turnover intention, and (4) work engagement does not have a role as a mediator between meaningful work and turnover intention
