Abstract

This article discusses the role of character and mindset in shaping entrepreneurial intention, which is an important factor in starting and managing a business. This literature review examines 20 articles published between 2005 and 2023, using article selection techniques based on inclusion and exclusion criteria involving research relevant to the topics of entrepreneurship, character, and mindset. The method used is a systematic literature review with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) procedure to ensure rigor in the selection and evaluation of appropriate articles. The results of the literature review show that strong character traits, such as perseverance, creativity, and the courage to take risks, provide a solid foundation for individuals to face entrepreneurial challenges. On the other hand, a growth mindset encourages individuals to view failure as an opportunity to learn, rather than as an obstacle. Previous research indicates that these two factors are interrelated, where good character strengthens the growth mindset, and the growth mindset reinforces character. This article also suggests that entrepreneurship education should place greater emphasis on developing positive character traits and mindsets to enhance entrepreneurial intention, as well as the importance of social support in shaping individuals who are ready to face business challenges.

Abstract

The shifting landscape of work due to digitalization has made virtual teams a primary organizational structure in global enterprises. However, group dynamics within such teams remain a challenge, particularly in terms of collaboration, conflict, and innovation. This study aims to examine the interrelationship among these three variables through a systematic review of 43 peer-reviewed journal articles indexed in Scopus over the past five years. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on the PRISMA protocol, the data were analyzed descriptively, thematically, and conceptually. The findings indicate that effective collaboration is influenced by work structure, trust, and leadership, while conflict plays a dual role as both an obstacle and a trigger for innovation. This review proposes a conceptual model titled the "Virtual Team Dynamics Triad," mapping the relationship between collaboration, conflict, and innovation, with trust, leadership, and digital competence serving as moderating factors. Theoretically, this study enriches dynamic models of virtual team functioning, and practically, it offers recommendations for work design, training, and organizational policy. Future research is encouraged to test this model in cross-cultural settings and through multilevel approaches.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of flexible work arrangements (FWA) and job autonomy (JA) on job performance (JP), examining work engagement (WE) as a mediating variable. The research was conducted among permanent production employees at PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia, Tbk in Indonesia, using a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that JA has a positive and significant influence on JP, both directly and indirectly through WE. However, FWA does not have a significant direct influence on JP but indirectly affects JP through WE. These findings highlight the importance of JA in enhancing intrinsic motivation and performance, as well as the role of WE in connecting job resources with performance outcomes. The study emphasizes the need to balance flexibility with structure in job design to optimize employee engagement and performance in a manufacturing environment.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk memperkuat kapasitas kelompok PKK Dusun Kanigoro dalam mengembangkan usaha Jamur Tiram Lestari melalui model pendampingan terstruktur dan partisipatif. Program berlangsung selama sebelas minggu dengan rangkaian kegiatan yang meliputi sosialisasi, identifikasi permasalahan produksi, pemetaan kebutuhan, serta penyusunan rencana aksi. Pendampingan kemudian difokuskan pada peningkatan kemampuan teknis dan manajerial kelompok, melalui konsultasi dengan Dinas Koperasi dan Usaha Mikro Sidoarjo, penciptaan identitas visual produk, penyediaan buku pencatatan usaha, serta penerapan peralatan digital seperti timbangan dan hygrometer untuk meningkatkan akurasi parameter yang memengaruhi proses produksi. Upaya digitalisasi pemasaran dilakukan melalui pembuatan media sosial Instagram, disertai pelatihan pengemasan dan pelabelan produk agar lebih kompetitif. Kegiatan diakhiri dengan penyusunan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) budidaya dan pengemasan, serta evaluasi menyeluruh atas capaian pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman anggota PKK dalam produksi yang lebih sistematis, manajemen usaha yang lebih terstruktur, serta kemampuan promosi digital yang lebih efektif. Program ini memberikan dasar yang kuat bagi keberlanjutan pengembangan usaha budidaya jamur tiram dan peningkatan kemandirian ekonomi kelompok.
