Abstract

ABSTRACT This study discusses the differences in approach between Gus Baha and Ustadz Abdul Somad in responding to Western phenomena through the lens of Islam. Gus Baha, a NU cleric who is known for his moderate and inclusive approach, tends to prioritize dialogue and cultural understanding to bridge differences. He emphasizes the importance of morals and ethics in interacting with Western values. On the other hand, Ustadz Abdul Somad, with a more assertive and orthodox approach, often criticizes the negative influence of Western culture and calls for the implementation of more conservative Islamic values. His approach emphasizes the implementation of sharia and maintaining identity as a response to external influences. Through this analysis, it is hoped that readers can understand how these two figures make different contributions in responding to the challenges of globalization and foreign values, as well as their impact on Muslim society in Indonesia.   Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas perbedaan pendekatan antara Gus Baha dan Ustadz Abdul Somad dalam menanggapi fenomena Barat melalui kacamata Islam. Abstract

This study examines the Islamic fiqh perspective on the status of adopted children in inheritance distribution using a normative approach, focusing on the analysis of rules and legal proofs from the Qur'an and Hadith; in Islam, adopted children do not automatically have inheritance rights because there is no biological lineage, thus solutions such as gifts (hibah) or wills are needed to ensure adopted children receive 2 a fair share without violating Islamic inheritance principles, which emphasize justice, social balance, and the preservation of family values, while demonstrating how Islamic inheritance law systematically accommodates humanitarian values and family harmony even when blood ties are absent

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how using the Seesaw application affects students' learning engagement in Islamic Religious Education courses.  The low level of learning activity among eighth-grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Gunung Raja, Muara Enim Regency, serves as the backdrop for this study. Students are typically passive when it comes to asking questions, responding to them, and taking part in discussions.  The study employs a Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest Design and quantitative methodology.  Purposive sampling was used to choose 35 eighth-grade students from class VIII A for the research sample. The data was gathered using a learning activity questionnaire with 25 statements on a four-point Likert scale. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test and paired sample t-test were employed in SPSS version 27 to evaluate the findings.  Using a pretest average of 56.66 and a posttest mean of 83.8, as well as a t-value of 58.718 > t-table 2.032 (p < 0.05), the study's findings demonstrated a significant increase in students' learning activity following the deployment of Seesaw. In addition to promoting creative Islamic education learning in the digital age, the Seesaw application has been shown to be successful in raising students' motivation and learning activity.
