Abstract

The hypertension control program at the Darul Imarah Community Health Center has been running continuously for the past few years as part of the promotive and preventive efforts in the primary health care system. An evaluation of the program implementation for the period 2022–2024 was conducted to assess the effectiveness and shortcomings of the program based on the IPO-OI (Input, Process, Output, Outcome, Impact) evaluation approach. This study used a descriptive method with a mixed approach, namely qualitative and quantitative, with data obtained through documentation studies of activity reports, field observations, and in-depth interviews with health workers and cadres directly involved in program implementation. The evaluation results show that in terms of input, the program has been supported by the availability of adequate human resources, operational budget support, blood pressure check facilities, regular cadre training, and internal regulations that support program implementation. The target coverage also continues to expand as the number of at-risk populations increases. The implementation process includes routine activities such as hypertension screening, recording and reporting cases, education through counseling groups, and community-based innovations such as the KEPAK (Kendalikan Penyakit Kronis) program, which has been proven to increase community participation. The resulting outputs include an increase in the number of registered hypertension patients from 2,800 in 2022 to 3,500 by the end of 2024, increased follow-up visits, and increased community engagement in the program. Outcomes are evident in the proportion of patients able to control their blood pressure, reaching 80%, and increased adherence to long-term treatment. Meanwhile, the impact of this program is increased public awareness of the dangers of hypertension, improved health literacy, and strengthened community-based primary healthcare systems. Overall, the evaluation results indicate that the hypertension control program at the Darul Imarah Community Health Center is effective and has the potential to be replicated in other areas.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that poses a major challenge to the health system, particularly in rural areas. Community health centers (Puskesmas), as first-level service facilities, play a crucial role in the early detection, control, and prevention of hypertension complications. However, the achievement of Minimum Service Standards (SPM) targets is often hampered by various factors. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the hypertension prevention and control program at the Beutong Community Health Center, Nagan Raya Regency, and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in achieving program targets. The study used a mixed methods approach with formative and summative evaluation designs. Quantitative data were collected through secondary documents, while qualitative data were obtained through field observations and in-depth interviews with health workers and cadres. The evaluation was conducted using an input–process–output–outcome approach. Data analysis was descriptive and thematic with source triangulation to enhance validity. The evaluation results indicate that from the input side, the availability of tools and human resources is still limited, especially in Posbindu activities. In terms of process, screening and education are ongoing but not evenly distributed across all work areas. From the output side, the coverage of hypertension case examinations and detection has not yet reached the SPM target. The outcomes indicate that patient adherence to treatment and healthy lifestyle changes still need to be improved. The main inhibiting factors include lack of community participation, limited facilities, and suboptimal recording and reporting. The hypertension program at the Beutong Community Health Center (Puskesmas) has been running but is not yet optimal. Strengthening logistics, information systems, empowering cadres, and improving community education are needed to support the achievement of Minimum Service Standards (SPM) and reduce the number of complications caused by hypertension.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of macroeconomic inflation on the profitability performance of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk during the 2018–2023 period. Profitability is a key indicator of a company’s financial health, and understanding how it responds to macroeconomic fluctuations is essential, particularly in the mining industry, which is highly sensitive to global and domestic economic conditions. This research employs a quantitative approach using simple linear regression analysis, supported by secondary data consisting of company financial statements and annual inflation data retrieved from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bank Indonesia. Several classical assumption tests were conducted, including normality, autocorrelation, and multicollinearity tests. The results show that the data are normally distributed and free from multicollinearity; however, the model exhibits positive autocorrelation, indicating that the residuals are not fully independent across time. The regression analysis reveals that inflation has a negative influence on the company’s profitability, measured by Return on Assets (ROA). Nevertheless, this relationship is not statistically significant, as reflected by a significance value of 0.677 (> 0.05). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.066 and an adjusted R² of -0.245 indicate that inflation explains only 6.6% of the variation in ROA, while the remaining 93.4% is influenced by other internal and external variables not included in this model. Overall, the findings suggest that inflation does not have a significant impact on the profitability of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk during the study period, implying that the company’s financial performance may be more strongly affected by operational efficiency, commodity prices, production volume, and other macroeconomic indicators beyond inflation.
