Abstract

This research aims to enhance students' communication skills in science education by implementing the STAD-type Cooperative Learning model. The subjects of this study were seventh-grade students at a junior high school, with the learning topics "Earth Movement in the Solar System" in cycle I and "Moon as a Satellite of the Earth" in cycle II. The study was conducted over two cycles, each involving the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The tool used was an observation sheet for communication skills, which included both verbal and nonverbal communication indicators. The results demonstrated an improvement in verbal communication skills, which increased from 39% in the pre-cycle to 77% in cycle II. Similarly, nonverbal communication skills improved from 32% to 69%. The highest improvements were seen in the ability to present discussion results (from 35% to 84%) and in body language during speaking (from 29% to 73%). It can be concluded that the STAD Cooperative Learning model effectively improves students' communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal. Additionally, this model encourages students to be more active in discussions, sharing ideas, and collaborating in groups.

Abstract

Penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan remaja merupakan permasalahan serius yang membutuhkan intervensi edukatif. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap peserta didik terhadap bahaya narkoba melalui penyuluhan partisipatif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Tengah Tani pada 11 Desember 2024 dengan melibatkan 45 peserta didik kelas VIII. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test tanpa kelompok kontrol. Intervensi berupa ceramah, diskusi, dan tayangan video edukatif. Evaluasi dilakukan secara kuantitatif melalui angket pengetahuan dan skala sikap, serta kualitatif melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan skor pengetahuan dari 58 menjadi 78 (34,48%) dan sikap dari 65 menjadi 85 (30,77%). Mayoritas peserta menunjukkan partisipasi aktif dan memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap materi penyuluhan. Beberapa peserta didik juga menghasilkan karya berupa poster dan slogan sebagai bentuk kampanye anti-narkoba. Penyuluhan berbasis partisipatif dan multimedia terbukti efektif dalam membangun kesadaran serta sikap preventif terhadap narkoba. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan pentingnya kolaborasi antara sekolah dan komunitas akademik dalam membentuk lingkungan belajar yang sehat dan bebas narkoba.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model project based learning dengan bantuan video terhadap literasi lingkungan siswa pada aspek pengetahuan dan kemampuan kognitif dan mengetahui pengaruh model project based learning dengan bantuan video terhadap literasi lingkungan siswa pada aspek sikap dan perilaku materi pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 7 Kota Bengkulu. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling diperoleh kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII E sebagai kelas kontrol. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes untuk mengukur aspek pengetahuan dan kemampuan kognitif serta angket untuk mengukur aspek sikap dan perilaku. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh model project based learning dengan bantuan video pembelajaran terhadap literasi lingkungan aspek pengetahuan dan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan sub materi pencemaran air; (2) terdapat pengaruh model project based learning dengan bantuan video pembelajaran terhadap literasi lingkungan aspek sikap dan perilaku siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan sub materi pencemaran air.   Kata  kunci: Model Pembelajaran PjBL, Video Pembelajaran, Literasi Lingkungan   ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of project-based learning model with video assistance on students' environmental literacy in the aspects of knowledge and cognitive abilities and to determine the effect of project-based learning model with video assistance on students' environmental literacy in the aspects of attitudes and behavior of environmental pollution material. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu City. The research sample was taken using simple random sampling technique, obtained class VII A as the experimental class and class VII E as the control class. The type of research used is quasi experiment with the form of nonequivalent control group design. This research instrument uses tests to measure aspects of knowledge and cognitive abilities and questionnaires to measure aspects of attitudes and behavior. The research data showed that: (1) there is an effect of the project-based learning model with the help of learning videos on environmental literacy in the aspects of knowledge and cognitive abilities of students on environmental pollution sub-matter of water pollution; (2) there is an effect of the project-based learning model with the help of learning videos on environmental literacy in the aspects of attitudes and behavior of students on environmental pollution sub-matter of water pollution..   Keywords: PjBL Learning Model, Learning Video, Environmental Literacy
