Abstract

This research discusses about the use of Smart Hippo Talk as a speech theraphy medium to enhance the speaking skills of children with mild autism at PL PDBK Semarang. The research is using qualitative descriptive method with data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The assessment of speaking abilities was based on the SCERTS model, which focuses on social communication, emotional regulation, and transactional support. The results indicated an improvement in both verbal and nonverbal communication after the use of Smart Hippo Talk. Participants showed increased eye contact, the ability to follow instructions, and began producing simple words and babbling. Additionally, the tool provided practical benefits for therapists by reducing the repetition of instructions through recorded voice features. These findings suggest that Smart Hippo Talk is a beneficial innovation to support speech therapy for children with mild autism.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the challenges of implementing the Independent Curriculum in Indonesian learning in grade V of SD Negeri Genuksari 01. The Independent Curriculum is an educational innovation that provides freedom of learning according to the needs of students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SD Negeri Genuksari 01 has been carried out comprehensively, although there are obstacles such as limited digital access, teachers' adaptation to learning methods, and students' ability to think critically that needs to be improved. The proposed solution includes the provision of interactive learning based on digital literacy and collaboration between teachers, students, and parents. The Independent Curriculum is considered effective in increasing interest in learning, providing space for innovation for educators, and preparing students to become a superior generation in the future.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis terhadap tantangan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas V SD Negeri Genuksari 01. Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan suatu inovasi pendidikan yang memberikan kebebasan belajar sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dnegan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka di SD Negeri Genuksari 01 telah dilakukan secara menyeluruh, meski terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan akses digital, adaptasi guru terhadap metode pembelajaran, dan kemampuan peserta didik dalam berpikir kritis yang perlu ditingkatkan. Solusi yang diusulkan meliputi penyediaan pembelajaran interaktiif berbasis literasi digital serta kolaborasi antar guru, peserta didik, dan orang tua. Kurikulum Merdeka dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar, memberikan ruang inovasi bagi tenaga pendidik, serta mempersiapkna peserta didik menjadi generasi unggul di masa depan.
