Abstract

Has a Community Health Center which plays an important role in public health. Patient visits at the physiotherapy polyclinic in Lowoksari Hamlet, Ngenep Village for shoulder pain cases from 2023 were 25 patients, while in 2024 it increased by 50 patients. The most common case is shoulder pain with the third highest number of cases. Characterized by complaints of pain in the shoulder which hinders daily activities. Objective: This program was carried out to provide education and demonstrate exercises in cases of shoulder pain in order to reduce and prevent complaints. Method: What was used was education in the form of counseling and distributing posters to the elderly in Lowoksari hamlet, Ngenep village, Malang city. Conclusion: What was obtained from measuring the increase in understanding using pre-test and post-test questionnaires was that there was a significant increase in understanding regarding training with an average pre-test score of 10 and an average post-test score of 85.5

Abstract

Flat foot is a flat foot shape caused by the loss of the medial longitudinal arch (inner sole of the foot). Flat feet can disrupt a person's balance because in this condition there is weakness in the internal muscles of the feet. Signs and symptoms that will arise due to flat feet are abnormal walking patterns that cause fatigue and problems with balance. Objectives: his counseling is carried out with the aim of providing education to children about flat feet, especially regarding the meaning, causes, as well as prevention strategies and physiotherapy exercises to reduce the number of flat foot disorders in children. Method: Posters are used as a tool to educate children about health problems related to flat feet. Consisting of 10 children, they were given a pretest and posttest before and after in the form of questions to measure children's understanding of the counseling material that had been delivered. Results: The counseling went well, and the children's understanding increased after attending physiotherapy education about flat feet. This outreach activity, carried out at Posyandu GPA Karangploso, Malang Regency, helps children understand more about flat feet and how to prevent and do physiotherapy exercises related to flat feet, such as heel raises exercise and towel curl exercise.. Conclusion:. To help children know and how to deal with flat feet, outreach activities have been carried out at Posyandu GPA Karangploso, Ngenep Village, Malang Regency. This counseling explains the heel raises exercise and towel curl exercise, which can be done at home to help with health problems related to flat feet. The majority of children who took part in this counseling said that they did not know what the effects of flat foot were or how to avoid it.

Abstract

Sports injuries in adolescents are a common aspect that is often experienced by the average adolescent, both male and female. Ankle sprain or ankle injury is an injury that is often experienced by teenagers when doing heavy or light sports activities. One of the treatments for sports injuries is using the PRICE method Protect (protect), Rest (rest), Ice (ice), Compress (bandage), Elevate (elevate). The purpose of this study was to increase understanding related to proper handling of sports injuries in adolescents by conducting socialization activities to deliver the material for handling these injuries, to measure the level of understanding of these students by using a pre-test questionnaire at the beginning of the activity and a post-test after the end of the activity. The results of the research that has been conducted on students and schoolgirls show an increased level of understanding with an average percentage of 5.12% and the post-test value after the delivery of the material increases with a percentage of 90%, the results of this percentage are a calculation of all questions ranging from 1-10 between the results of the post test and pre-test.
